Patch Notes
- incremented UI engine texture cache count - this was a source of potential stuttering - @SharkyUK - might be a useful tweak?
- potential optimization for stuttering caused by UI items
- potential fix for heavy stutter when an input device reconnects
- season definition penalties...
Had a dabble with the F40LM on full boost too - laughable!
Good fun on standard boost though - even if that back end does still wants to step out wildly if you give it too much throttle.
Will be selling my HTC Vive Pro 2 full kit very soon - as I simply don't use it.
Think I've used it once this year alone. If I've used it ten times since I bought it, I'd be surprised.
I've got Apple Music and it is nice to come across some random new stuff. I'll continue to pay for it for the convenience alone - but it simply doesn't match the whole vibe you get with vinyl and even CDs. Spatial audio kicks the crap out of both of those media of course - but there's something...
The last tape I ever bought for my car was back in 1997. I remember it clearly as it was the day that Princess Diana was killed and was heading back up north from Oxford in the heavy rain and traffic. All of the radio stations were on a small loop as a mark of respect and I pulled in at some...
Used AI for suggested settings for the 3090. Got a significant improvement in visual smoothness without much in the way in loss of quality.
I'd take less clarity over sluggish performance any day.
Still using over 14GB of VRAM mind!
I was experiencing poor performance as well Andy.
At 4K@60hz with everything set to Ultra, I'm getting 30-40fps on the 3090. Dropped it to 1440 resolution and was in the 75fps range - but the stuttering was quite off-putting.
Also using 16.6GB of VRAM in my attempts with it. Fook knows how...
Assetto Corsa EVO 0.4 is OUT NOW

I've only read mixed comments online and haven't actually tried one myself.
However, it seems to be a bit of a lottery with the integration of certain setups and software. If you have patience - go for it, if not I'd be a bit wary.
Still seems to be on target for somewhere around now, from what I've read. Seems purely console fixes I believe, too? Doesn't mention anything about potentially addressing the utter clusterfuck of PC inputs, which would have been nice to have been addressed.
I mean....?
....and in GTAV there...
Official Pro Controller - worth it or no?
I'd pay £70 for a decent mouse without thinking about it. Paying the same for a jumped up XBox controller just feels innately wrong.
f**king Nintendo! :P
I think the overall difficulty of the game is probably one of its biggest criticisms, when you play it on Normal. It does get too easy, too quickly.
That said, it's a brilliant game on so many levels. Nice to see that you've got an appropriate screenshot of Panam also. ❤️
I use this at the side of my seat and frame.
Looks a bit conductor('ish) and is silly expensive for what it is - but maybe there's a cheaper one on the likes of eBay?
I did - and then switched back to a wired K&M with USB extension leads.
I was getting pissed off with the power saving of the wireless devices that sometimes wouldn't come out if sleep mode.
Welcome aboard!
So, that comment - "or that the gearbox oil hasn't been changed at all."
As there's written evidence of a leak from the transmission - the above would be my absolute 1st port of call.
In the grand scheme of things, replacing the gearbox oil isn't expensive or time consuming...
With my previous 6700K - I went from a GTX1080 which was a good combo in terms of balance @1440.
Then, I upgraded the GPU to an RTX3070Ti and it absolutely battered the CPU. It simply couldn't keep up and the cooling for the CPU was way more active than previous.
Ended up going down the Ryzen...
Absolutely this.
Easiest thing to check & replace. Relatively cheap to do and getting a new battery is never really false economy - unless you bought one last week!
A multitude of weird happenings can occur through a dying battery.
Bought an R36S 128GB last year, thinking it would be great. Played it for about 15mins and realised that I don't have the hands of a 6-year-old. Can use a keyboard and mouse or XBox controller for ages - yet the inputs on this thing are awkwardly placed and actually tiring to use.
Sat on the...
