Well I've bought a brand new set of springs as one of the front ones have snapped apparently. Which I don't quite believe as it's handling fine and no knocking or any noises it shouldn't. Should feel a bit better on a fresh set anyway, I was running apex 40mm and they were a bit harsh
yeah hes just being a bit assy i think because its not standard beach buggy height. had an issue when i first fiited springs on standard shocks but i bought a pair of new genuine 172 shocks as they were 30 mm shorter iirc and they were fine on last mot
yeah running springs. just need these in place so the spring stays in situ when lifted, he said could fall out if i hit a pothole, which i have quite frequently on these roads and never had a problem
mot tester has failed rear springs as they fall from seated position when on a 4 post ramp. hes suggested getting some rear adjustable mounts but im struggling too source some,
has anyone had the same issue please and where did you find them?

@DaveDreads Still intermittently got this problem and obviously always at the worst time when I'm not on a hill to bump start which isn't fun in this heat. How do I deal with immobiliser problem too see if it is that?
Sorry didn't get back to this as people were trying too help me out. Went too go out yesterday and there was nothing again. So had a tinker under bonnet and for some reason gave throttle by a light tap with hammer then it started. So the question now is it electrical or a mechanical fault...
Have a starting issue on 2004 clio 1.6. Doesn't start after short trips. I can for example drive 20 miles. Turn engine off and it will crank straight away if I try. But if I drove to tesco which is less than a mile come out try and start and it won't, I have too bump start it. Then I get home...
Colour code is 250110 but this can be A little grey, there is a rover colour that is a slightly better match. Think it's stone grey, sure someone else will jump in and advise
The interior of the 1*2's is completely different too all other variants. it's half leather half alcantara. So you would want the original I'm guessing
I reckon 9-12 and 12-3. Was a bit rushed only having 3 hours. Hopefully nobody will Flop out this time and there will be even more french sheds too look at
