The diverter valve should be used on startup (mainly just sync position) and shutdown too (smooth shutdown), as well as during a regen. The exhaust flaps are for DPF regen, but some clios have the exhaust flap but no DPF or sport mode which is equally confusing
The amount of hours I've spent...
After going through a f**k tonne of stuff on my Megane I started learning that Renaults start sequence makes no sense
Buggered wheel speed sensors can trigger the ECU to do proper retarded s**t. So can brake light switches and clutch switches. If yours has an exhaust flap that can cause weird...
I think my cheap Screwfix multimeter is on the Fritzl
Without someone saying "Fluke" and anally gaping me what other decent multimeters are there? @dann2707 did you get one recently from AliExpress?
It depends which 280mm PMS kit you've got
I'm sure the early ones had more machined off the caliper and a thinner bracket that was a bit more susceptible to breaking
If it's the later one, as people have said you'll be better off sticking with 280mm discs or selling and buying the 300mm...
Must have been one of them silent ones
Either way it's water under the bridge, I've given my opinion and review of my experience. There's no point trying to dispute that it wasn't good, you can't always get it perfect for everyone
Its all well and good but there was no apology on the day. Just an offhanded comment from Paul saying "just trying to keep the rods inside the block on this" and that's a direct quote of what he said. Confidence inspiring that like
Specky made the meth comment which Paul and Alex both jumped...
I took my 175 dCi to him which was kinda not running the best
Not only was he too busy messing about with an M4 2 hours into my session, he came across as a proper pellet. His maps are probably average but I wouldn't take my push bike to him for mapping after his attitude towards my car...
The slightly older version of this

I revived 2 of my batteries recently with a tabletop power supply
I tried to bump them both from other batteries but it didn't work. Spent 2 hours farting about trying to trickle charge the battery. A quick zap and launched them both on the charger and they've been spot on since
It was nice...
Since my last post next door to us has chopped his car in again for an i5 40e estate 🤣
In the last 4 years of him being our neighbour at work I must have seen him have 20 cars and at least 3 bikes. All BMWs🤣
We sold some RAM at work recently
Usually we get about £3-6k for the amount we sell... This time round it was £25k. Unreal
I genuinely thought we'd get at max £10k even with the price bump
Yeah please don't re-use old cables
The pinout on the PSUs change quite a bit. Corsair list which cable kits you need and which PSUs are cross-compatible in their pinout too. Sometimes you can get lucky on just swapping out the power supply itself but most of the time if you're upgrading it's...
I had the misfortune of taking my Sister in laws (no) polo to get a rear camera fitted earlier
f**k me it's awful inside. It's 10 years old and it feels so cheap in comparison to my 18 year old E60. Zero clutch feel, zero steering feel, zero power and the speakers and interior is f**king...
Engine is looking good all freshened up
I really need to pull my finger out and sort mine. Wouldn't bother with the 340d, next door to us at work had one and chopped it in instantly against an 840d said it was so small and just overall naff compared to his 530d. Then he went and chopped the 8...
How much would you like changing the diff on your back on the drive if it s***s itself?
ITs a different car but I use Castrol Syntrax LL in the diff on my E60 535d (I also added some silicone tube once to make things extra nice. Don't do this part)
