Just an update... after the dealer spent all morning running diagnostics on the car it turns out it was a dodgy sensor in the exhaust. this will all be replaced under warranty.
The new car has been ordered and i should get it by the end of the month. here is the engine data: 90BHP and 204Nm...
they ran diagnostics on it and said it was mis firing slightly. so hopefully this will fix it. i dont want it to cost to much as im giving it to the dealer as p/x on my new car.
thats what my mum and dad said, but rather than having to pay out the final payment on the clio ford will settle the finance and give me some extra money for it to use as a deposit and I thow in some extra money to get my payments down.
I then have a new car with another 3 years of vey cheap...
Weel my Clio failed its first MOT on saturday on emissions. there was an leak in the exhaust which they clamped (that helped reduce the emissions, but not enough) so its going back tomorrow to be tested again with the standard airbox on back on it.
They ran diagnostics on the car to see if...

I stand corrected. After i posted that i checked it out when i got home and you are right, the Cooper S does have 170BHP, but i was right on the Works package with 210BHP.
Steve
When the first Works upgrades came out they were at 200BHP. BMW then purchased the rights to use the upgrades in the standard Cooper S. The Works pack was then changed to give an upgrade to 210BHP, not much extra BHP, but the increase in torque was pretty good
Just to add some information. the current Cooper S is 200BHP and the S works version is 210BHP. Even though it has more power the mini is a lard bucket so IMO i believe the 182 would win.
Not sure really on the life span, but it depends on your driving style habits. If you do lots of short jounerys etc then moisture can build up in the exhaust and just sit there and begin to corrode the exhaust.
If you do lots of long drives, then the moisture gets a chance to evaporate from...
i get about 450 miles per tank, which is about 40mpg the most however i got from a tank was 527 which is around 47mpg. The computer on the car is currently reading 50.7mpg, but they are normally way out.
K-Tec are currently working on a full system for the V6

i has this on my car when it was about a year old. the contacts in the bulb holder just needed a bit of a rub with some emery paper just to get some crap of them and its been fine ever since.
have a look here. Alpine models can connect to the remote steering controls and some headunits even work with the OEM display. you just need to get the correct adapter as well as the head unit...
heres a link to them on K-Tecs site.

My 1.2 16V was late. i sold my R5 the day before i was due to collect it and then got a phone call from Renault to say the car isnt even in the country yet. I complained to them saying that they should have called me sooner as i have just sold my current car and have a 30 minute drive to work...
A local renault dealer to me has a 182 with cup packs in black on an 04 plate. its got 3000 miles on it and has been used as a demonstrator. The price they have it on their books is £14495. There is no way im going to pay that for one! I havent seen the car yet as its at the dealers other site...
