You don't need to put them in the stock loctaions, just stick them in the corner of the dash. No need to remove the dash and allows you to play with the positionings more too.

They would probably work but would sound rubbish. Wouldn't bother with 6x9s myself, spend your money upgrading the fronts.

Apparently the standard kit basically just has a filter on the back of the tweet. Not sure how true that is. If you buy a set of comps you will get crossovers anyway, and they will be designed for the speakers so will probably sound a lot better. They are not that hard to install either.

As said, ditch the 6x9s they're a waste of money, and are generally just a target for thieves. If at a later date you do decide you want a bit of rear fill (most people dont), then you could run a cheap set of components of the HU. I would get a decent HU, decent front Comps and a sub. Then amp...
