Just been reading the other posts.....
If you have brought a Viper and need an extra length of cold feed, Pipercross will send one out...
But due to all the people who just want a piece of pipe to fit to there inferior kits, you will need to show proof of purchase
James
No i,m not Joff....
You can get all the bits seperately, but its just a bit of a pain...
It would be best just to get a cold airfeed VC003 these are avalible with either Red/Silver ends...
They are around £40ish from any Pipercross dealer....the pipe is actually quite cheap, but the ends are...
Who did you email?..we have had big server problems the last couple of days..
Give me the name, and I will but kick tommorrow..(as long as its not me you emailed....)
OHHH a different size tube.... thats development then.... the airbox is identical from the Lotus elise to the landrover freelander....
all I am saying is that this kit was designed from scratch for the Clio 182... no one has a intake pipe designed specificly for this application...
Look people I dont like bullsh*t figures either, These test were done by WRC in Silverstone.. they do all the testing for EVO magasine.... you know EVO that bullshit mag for boy racers : )
If you discredit the results it not Pipercross who are offended its them.... it is there name on the...
Thanks for finding the graphs slugger....
I must say, the looks are a matter of tast.. the kit on display was a Civic Type R kit, and the holes are for the mounting brackets.. the kit was designed on performance and feature, more than looks all though looks are very important... alway open to...
Also the gains were without re-map.... think what the gains could have been... but also look at the graph..power through the whole rev range, not only peak power.....
dont want to go over old ground or anything, but look at the old threads for the V-Focre and see the power graphs done by inderpendent rolling roads with gains of over 9BHP on the 182.. now everyone knows it is more difficult to get power out of the 182 than it is the 172, so we expect bigger...
Sorry..dont know how to bring up old threads...but do a shearch for V-Force an page 3 there is power graphs of over 10bhp..
Let me know any more information...we will start a group buy from K-Tec or someone if you are interested
There is graphs of power gains in an thread about a month ago. I will sheach it out...around 9bhp on a 182...I belive this is the best gain ever to be seen from an intake kit on a 182....
The V-Force that recived such good results on the 182 is to show its head at the Autosport show on the 12-15th
http://www.vforcepower.com
Web site is now live..but awaiting all the clio power graphs etc....
The Clio kit will be on show, but carbon parts are still being made in the...
I think when you see the kit finished you will love the looks....
With all the carbon and the trick power gauge.
Pipercross will be happy to arrange for one of our dealers to offer a group buy, I should think there would be up to 15-20% off for 5+ units
This kit has been designed around...
Firstly you need a cleaning kit...C9000 these sell for around £7-8... then you can remove the aluminium reducer on the top of the filter,
Spray the cleaning fluid directly in to the filter and wash with warm water, let this dry, ( do not use hair dryer) and then re-oil with the second aerosol...
We will be needing a 172 to do the rolling road tests if anyone is interested?
Car would need to be inNorthampton for 1 day, power run as standard, and then with V-force, we would offer 50% discount from the kit the the owner.
james@pipercross.com
Sorry..no pics as yet as it is looking a bit ropey as it needs powder coating and finishing...
All the carbon parts, the intake pipe and the Cold feed ducts are being tooled up for and will be avalible in around 4-6 weeks...you can see a proto type at Autosport in January.
This is a...
Well it has been 5 weeks development with one of the forum members cars, and we now have test results for the V-Force..
The standard car gave 174BHP..this is around 180PS so good standard power..
The V-Force kit gave gains troughout the whole rev range with really good bottem end torque...
Had no call as yet??
Part number Z1012 £22.00 inc vat, these are in silver, Red avalible.
You can get Cliosport discount from www.thepipercrossshop.co.uk
James
Hey give us a chance...we only started on the kit last Monday, should have power results in the next 4-5 weeks, we will offer both before and after power graphs..
To be hounest I would be happy with anything over 8-9 BHP on the 182/172, but more importantly a good gain in bottem end torque...
There is a part number avalible...but no retail price, it is only a breakdown part number, But still if you need one we can arange it...
give us a call monday...ask for James
It is possible to get just the rampipes alone, we do them in 55mm 65mm 85mm and 100mm these are avalible in red or polished.
Will get part numbers and costs to you Monday, www.thepipercrossshop is a good place to get them.
James
Meggerman....unfortunatly you can only blame Renault for the Inlet manifold?
But on the 182 the induction pipe is a nightmare aswell, also the way the two cold feeds work can be improved upon...
Our air is only to produce the best bolt on modification in the intake system,...
Brun thefilter...
The power gain was 13.8.(sorry)..but I will post a power Graph up for you....standard car was 195BHP I belive...
You will see on the graph power & TORQUE (this is the important factor) are both improved through out the rev range..(not just peak power!)
*SPECIAL* sneak preview drawing of the new V-Force kits.....
The only parts missing is the Filter health monitor gauge.. both intake and cold feed pipe are in carbon fibre and the filter has carbon fibre veins...
All in all a top looking kit... with gains to match..
