yeah the 172 has an X shaped rubber - mine just not holding the back box in place like it used to. Knocks on startup and with any bumps in the road. Therefore I need to get new ones. Might take a wee trip down to kwikfit ;)

How much should exhaust mount rubbers set me back? And are they easy to replace? My current ones are a little tired now and occasionally there is a slight knocking as the backbox wiggles.

BAZ, I had exactly the same problem when they tried to fix my brakes a while ago. They took off the wheels and calipers, said there was a problem and then I was stuck with having to pay extortionate labour and parts charges for THEM to fix it, when I could have ordered the parts and done it...
