I bought private yes. However, providing the car has a full service history by bmw or a bmw approved garage, you can still take a warranty out on the car if you want. Personally, I didn't.

I've ran this now for 6 months and so far nothing has gone wrong at all. they're usually pretty reliable. Mind you this has only done 23,000 miles so wouldn't expect anything to go wrong! Insurance for me was only £30 more than the 3.0 version I had before this. Tax isnt cheap though, £475 a year.

Im with tiscali and speeds are shocking during peak times. Downloads can be as slow as 25kbs per sec at times. I wouldnt recommend them personally
