Been in a similar situation the only way to get a good connection is running a cable. Everything else is always patchy. Cat5 is dirt cheap

Meh I can't find an option anywhere. I can find that it's connected etc... I'm going to have to buy something else 😔

so just received my new asus wireless router, pretty easy to setup and all is working. just by getting a new router it has resolved a few issues we had. gone into my workshop and plugged my tp link wireless router in and it just worked straight away. but I want to change its name and password...

My HH is a t the front of the house, so does the house fine. But doesn't reach my workshop, hence I put a Cat 5 cable in. Is that tp link one any good?

Why bin the HH? I have looked at bt whole home WiFi, which is a mesh setup

Well Skype does not work when in my workshop sadly, but does work when connected to my HH. The distance is to far, I can't even pick up the HH in the workshop, plus it's full of metal machines blocking signal. I'm not using power lines when I have a cat5 cable running to my workshop, that's...
