plugs and leads
Standard Leads are not very good quality. Mine had a lot of "leaking" which can result in misfires. Since I've installed the MagneCor leads the problems are gone. They are much better quality. Don't expect performance gains.- Menno

Knocking Noise when wheels spin
My MK1 had the same problem, and I went back with it to the garage I bought it. THe mechanic, which had a lot of Renault experience, told me he relocated the airfilter box, because this was hitting something, when the engine moved.
