Hi all. I've just bought a Mk1, Ph2 1.8 16V. It's an M reg so that's 1994 right?
Can anyone tell me if this model will have a factory fitted Renault immobiliser or not? Also, it's got an aftermarket Toad immobilser on it (called a Powerkey) and it needs a new fobb thing. I was quoted...
My Mk1 Ph3 needs both of these replacing! I've got to do it 2morrow as it's stuck on my driveway at the mo & will not start!
Anyone got a rough idea of what each of these sensors cost just so i know how much i'm gonna have to shell out?
Thanks
Neither am i believe me but once u know where it is it's fine. If you have a haynes manual, try looking in there if not, mine is near the bottom of the engine, just behind my air filter. Not a great description but the best i can do, i just feel 4 it!!
My Mk1, Ph3 has been giving me real problems recently. About once every 6 mths it used to not start. This wasn't neccesarily from cold & we worked out that it was the starter motor. Where it's at the back of the engine & all the crap from the road gets chucked up onto it it used to clog up...
I actually did most of it myself! The doorcards were recovered in black fabric to match my seats. The dash - Firstly i rubbed it all down, then a covered it all with plastic primer, then sprayed it all cream with a little help from my boyf who used to be a sprayer. The paint used is just...
Stand up & be counted love, i'm sure yours looks great. No point starting this tread if your afraid to finish it. Try putting yours on Barryboys, that's an experience!!
That's a fair point & i don't doubt that some of the parts on mine are not fully safe, however, owning a car no matter what it looks like, will never be as dangerous as owning say a motorbike in my opinion, & they'll never take them off the road.
O.k so i own a fully modified Mk1. She's my baby & what can i say....i'm a woman & i wanted it to look pretty!
To be honest, some of you speak sense.......why would we do this to our cars if we didn't care what people thought? I admit, i like people looking at my car & the attention it gets...
I've got 16's on my MK1. It's lowered 35mm on the front, & 1 click of the torsion bar on the rear (just over 35mm i think) I've had no probs with them rubbing on the arches at all. They did rub slightly on my rear bumper but that's because it's a modified one.
Prob couldn't go much lower than...
I just bought a load of stuff off ebay. Got it all brand new from ebay shops etc and when i added the delivery it was still cheaper than most places.
2 x applicator pads - £2.50
Quik Clay & standard size bottle of Quik Detailer - £10.50
Soft Gel Wash - £3.00
All inc. delivery
O.k thanks.
Just bought 'Poorboys Nattys Carnuba Wax (Blue)' Getting really skint now so will have to economise some on the polish.
Also picked up a microfibre drying cloth.
Hi all,
I'm changing my cleaning products from Autoglym to Meguires and would just like advice on which polish & which wax to use. I've sorted the rest - bought 'soft gel wash' 'bug & tar remover' 'quik detailer' 'quik clay' 'scratch x' , a wool wash mitt, a microfibre polishing cloth, & some...
I'll be starting on the interior Thurs. Giving it a wash Sat morn then off 2 work whilst i leave it with my boyf 2 polish (i must b mad!)
Driving up on the Sun morn from Bath so prob just take mist & wipe + cloth. Anything else i'll just nick off Freebone (pleeeeeeease!!!) :D
Well, i know i'll get slated for saying this but here goes!!!!
I don't leave my cars standard if you know what i mean, and even I couldn't modify a Williams (they're just meant to be left aren't they!) Not ready to give up the modifying yet, maybe in a few years! Plus because of all my...
I've got one too. Had real problems with my sunroof, didn't do anything and one day it just stopped leaking. Not leaked for over 7 months now, weird! :D
Hey guys, how u all doing?
Well, i'm finally thinking about getting rid of my 1996 1.4RT, and getting something faster. As none of the newer Clios float my boat (no offence) and i've got so many bits for a MK1, I was thinking about buying a valver. This won't be for a few months but to help...
I like fast cars, i like modded cars. As said b4 the workmanship looks good, red not my personal favourite colour but gives it a little edge. I do like the exhausts, def to my style, not 2 sure on the spoiler.
On the whole a great effort, a car 2 b proud of, well done! :D
I'm with Adrian Flux, told them i had a de-cat without thinking (i had a blonde moment!) & they didn't bat an eyelid. However that was nearly 2 years ago so i suggest u just follow the good advice above & tell them your exhausts got a 10% power increase.
