Car was parked in garage. I got in and took off the hand brake. Trying reversing, the car's body tilted, as if the hand brake was still on. I tried everything and at the end i had to give it a lot of gas. It made a loud crackin noise and finally moved. Anyone know why on earth that happened?
I don't think it's only the F1 success that makes me proud but its also the fact that Clio's are unique and specifially the 172/182s. The car just recently started being sold here in some parts of the Middle East, and its amazing how ppl notice it on the streets.
Thats my point Chris, i have a feeling my lights are set higher than they should be. Its not about xenons or not. I do flash them back btw but its happening often.
i dont use the autolight feature. the car is brand new. they dont bobble down or anything at all. it just seems they are set to aim high. you cant even lower them. wat to do?
While driving on the highways, many cars signal me to turn off my high beams, even though i dont have them on. It seems that my lights are too strong, and it is true because they are aimed quite high. Are all 182s like this or is it something with my car?
Hope you like them. will post some more later on.
BTW i edited one of the pics on paint to remove the front license plate, you can tell but it still looks better than the ugly *&# plate.
Insurance at 3000 is crazy, i can insure a fleet with that over here.
Just to show you guys how cheap Saudi Arabia is compared to the UK. I have a 182 and im 23 yrs old.
- Insurance: £250
- Full gas tank: £5
- Car cost: £10,700
The only problem is Renault is quite new here and cant find any...
I have a brand new Black Gold 182. 990 km so far. After a couple of days of buying it, I noticed some marks on the hood. As far as i know they are not swirl marks. I dont know what they are big patches (like the way fingerprints look, but much bigger).
I took it to a detailing shop here, which...

I have the autolights on, and when i turn on the fogs the fog sign doesnt light up on the dash. It only works when I turn on the light, instead of keeping it at "0'''(which is autolight).
Which reminds me, how do u turn off this feature? (sorry offtopic)
Golf is more luxurious and def not as much fun as the Clio. If you're a fan of Audi, VW and cars with similiar build, go for the GTi. Otherwise the Clio is a much different car, looks and feels sportier.
About the R36, its double the price of the 172 and more. A tuned up clio will be faster...
As far as i know, the GTI is 7.0 car (0-100). This is very close to the 172's acceleration, and I guess it comes down to the driver when two such cars are put against each other. Not sure aboutthe power to weight ratio, maybe someone else can comment.
Btw, i was driving around today and a GTI...
Alright thx everyone. I have made my final decision. Its goin to be components, HU, amp and sub. I am goin to do it all in one so I wont have to pay installation twice. Over here I can do all that for 300 pounds all inclusive.
Thx blink172. I shall change the HU. I just have to let go of the CD changer thats my problem.
About the compo's up front, should i change the tweeters or speakers, or both?
I really like how the head unit fits into the whole amber look of the car. If u change it, no matter how expensive and nice the new one is, it wont blend it.
Is it really impossible to use the CD changer with another HU? I hate the idea of switching CDs while driving.
Sounds good, the reason i am asking is becoz i want to keep using the CD Changer. Thought the HU wouldnt make much of a difference if u have a good amp.
