Something very weird happened

Car  Black Gold 182
Car was parked in garage. I got in and took off the hand brake. Trying reversing, the car's body tilted, as if the hand brake was still on. I tried everything and at the end i had to give it a lot of gas. It made a loud crackin noise and finally moved. Anyone know why on earth that happened?

Common problem , mine did it for a few weeks on my 182 but is ok now , did the same on my old 172 for a couple of months .

Yeah seems to happen to mine when I wash it and leave it parked up. It does my head:(.

the car has barely 1300 miles on it, washed the car earlier though, but 1st time it happens

Mines on 2200 miles now , stopped doing it a couple of weeks ago .

Mine does it if the brakes are hot when I park up, or if its been stood for a while.

only happened once on my old kreg clio.as above its when its left standing for a long time.never happens after you wash it though?

My Trophy does it every time it rains overnight, when you can see a light coating of rust on the discs the next morning.

Does it ever stop doing it? (i'm on 2000 miles)

Happens in my RT, the noise is nothing to worry about, it doesn't sound healthy though! :) Good thing about having drums on the rear with only having a Mk1 is that a slight tap with a hammer around the rear of the drum will loosen the shoes off for me. :D Job done! Only seems to be my left hand side though, nevermind ey! ;)

Mine always does this after a wash. If i remember I just leave the car in gear and dont bother with the handbrake.

Happens to mine all the bloody time - especially if i've washed it or it's been stood in damp for a while.
