The amount of hate i got when i first built that was unreal.
'Euro' or whatever you would like to call it, wasn't really recognised when i built it so a lot of people turned their noses up, but with all my mates being 'Dubbers' i got heavily influenced. I guess this, and two well know brothers...
I realise how much money smoothing costs...I also realise that cars aren't built over night.
Here's my old build mate from many many moons ago.
My best advice i can give you is do everything right, and you wont be dissapointed. I was 18 when i built this, and built it on a part time...
YEAH AL!
The car was mental...Judging by what he was saying at the 'lads xmas doo' the other night, the engine should be making its way into a Williams shell next year ;)
Or how about if you'd done every single thing on the car yourself? Every part of the bodywork, custom interior..and stance...Just like Ryan! I know one thing, you wouldn't catch me with a tub of filler and spray gun now, never mind when i was 16/17!
Ahh yearrrhhh?
Unfortunately im washing and curling my hair on sunday.
Ive had it penciled in my diary for months.:o
Stu! Im well thanks mate, yourself? I think you'd just stepped up to a white Mk3 Clio Cup when id last saw you last? Hope all's well mate :)
I know what Ryan's saying on this one.
When you build a car from scratch, spend hundreds of hours labour, and thousands of hard earnt pounds building something, to see it 6 months later looking like this is very disheartening.
Some of the cars i've owned i couldn't give a monkeys what their...
Now you tell me. Its fine, i had to pick my stunning foreign lass up from the docs on the way ;)
<3 Neeefy!
Looks like were all making it back slowly but surely then! Lol :)
S'happening guys,
Since my new purchase 2 weeks ago, i thought it only overdue to get back up here :)
Ive been browsing the forum for a while now, noticed loads of old names are still floating around, as well of plenty of new ones. :o
Last time i were posting regularly on the forum, i owned one...
Any pictures that people have suggested?
Phil must use the powerflow franchise to gain his name then. Ive had several full exhaust systems from him, all completely stainless. All completely trouble free!
I know Powerflow has mixed reviews and opinions across the country, but Phil; who runs Powerflow in stafford does an awesome job, as im sure anyone who has visited him will agree. :)
S'happening.
I'm booked in to Powerflow first thing in the morning to have my exhaust system adjusted and quietened.
I'm currently running a stealth system, but im 'ooooww'ing and arrrr'ing' running a visible tailpipe.
What are you guys currently running?
...The car in question is a PH2 172...
That pretty much summed it up for me.
Still, its someones pride and joy and he clearly he's clearly spent a lot of time and money getting it to how he wants! The world would be a boring place if we were all the same :)
No drama :)
Erm, it may be known on here, its got a CS sticker in the back window...
I found it on PH, went to view it and ended up walking away with it for good money so i cant complain! :)
The idea is to keep it as it is. But its already booked into powerflow Wendesday morning, and im finding...
Was nice to see some old faces!
Some i hadn't seen for years! ...Even Donny didn't recognise me!
Now im back in a clio, this will no doubt be the first of many..:)
Rage
Rich mentioned it earlier mate, I dont know yet. I want to Lifeshine and prep the 172 for the winter this weekend, so we'l see how much i manage to get done, as im planning on going Christmas shopping Saturday afternoon!
