1/2" BSP to AN10 adaptors (most likely), you will need to use a different sandwhich plate for a temperature sensor, as the one pictured doesnt accomodate one.
Had a similar sort of thing this Summer myself that i remember.
In slow traffic on the M4, continual 40-50mph cquite congested no ones getting anywhere quicker than the next person. I am alongside and in the near region of 8 pikeys, all with transit tippers bareing their typical tree surgeon...
Yeah unfortunately the box was out of warranty period (it was done iust under 2 years ago). One cannot argue that the synrcos should not crunch on the first drive with the oil grade recommended by him (75w-90, but i later tried 75w80 after with no diference), somsomething was clearly not right...
Thought it was about time i gave this a thread revive.
After the alternator failed last year i decided to take the car off the road, and in true typical clio turbo ownership its been off the road in parts ever since! Purcashing my own pad knocked my finances sideways and the car was definately...
YOu would think so yes. I am using a normal Mocal plate and stat (not an ebay billet job). But the SPA oil temp gauge just shows it doesnt reach temp adequatley. SO either its a faulty thermostat, or the thermostat naturally never fully closes and has a small bypass allowing a small amount of...
Wish i got 12k form my helix, i didnt even see half of that :tonguewink:
Sachs clutch looks interesting, but will it do 360ft lb?, im guessing unfortuantely not :(
I've got a 13 row cooler @ 400bhp. It's of course thermostatically controlled, but it still cools toooo much, used to struggle to get it over 75 deg even when driving hard. I've now fitted a slideable cover on the front so i can cover 50% of it for everyday use, then uncover it if needs be on a...
I made it out of a piece of 2mm sheet ally. I actually spent quite a few hours on it and a did a nice job of it (pic doesnt do it justice). However since i've had the engine out its dissapeared into thing f****** air, guess ill have to make another!
My pressure switch is like below for my SPA gauge, i did use a 1/8" BSP to 1/8" NPT adaptor rather than to just wind it straight in and hopew for the best.
What terminal speeds are people getting? Thats generally a good way to compare as they come out reasonaly consistent regardless of how well you manage to launch it.
Hi guys,i finally got round to removng my engine, i have inspected the clutch apart from it *just* starting to nibble at the rivets (dammit more expense) the clutch has worn perfectly even. The pressure plate is also fin i know it doesnt really nelpmyou guys, but heres some pictures for comparison.
I use this actuator and have always had rock solid boost control (both as actuator only and combined with a MAC valve)

Now this is my kind of project! Amazing attention to detail you are obviously a true engineer with a passion!
Would you make up fuel rail / other bits of custom fabrication on the side for people like myself?
You can run an external regulator on the stock fuel rail, and you can convert the in/out to -6 in a less glorified way if you wanted to keep costs down. I tested the plastic rail to 7 bar without issues too, its quite strong.
If you can be arsed to send the pipe(s) to me, i can put a flare on them for you (i have a flaring tool).
I detest the huge T bolt style boost clamps, they are not much better than a normal clamp imo. I have always used JCS hi grip stainless clamps with great results, you can buy a complete set...
My main problem on my new build was excessive pressure blowing pipes of the heater matrix. Although overkill i ended up independantly cooling the turbo, but havent had an issue since thankfully. Nice results, good luck with cranking the boost up, it all starts getting very fun (Y)
