I am about to fit a new gasket to the above. Does anyone know if there is any reason not to use a gasket sealant other than making it difficult to use again. The reason for using sealant is that I think I may have a small air leak & this may help cure it.
Excuse my idiosy but on my 172 I've have managed to damage the egg shaped o'ring that sits under the plenum. Renault tell me that they do not supply the o'ring separately & that a replacement part with the ring will cost £40 approx. Can anyone confirm this as it seems ridiculous to have to spend...
Further to an earlier posting regarding ABS rings on the rear discs, I have found that putting them on to a new disc without a pre fitted ring is extremely easy. Heat the ring up for about 30 seconds with a blow torch and the ring will just drop on to the new disc and then shrink to fit. Hope...
Just a thought but the ABS ring on the rear disc (as shown) will come off quite easily (in my case!). A small steel drift through the hole where the wheel bolts on and a hammer will do the job - no heat required in my case. The key is a little at a time ie. one tap through one hole rotate to the...
