Plenum to inlet manifold gasket

I am about to fit a new gasket to the above. Does anyone know if there is any reason not to use a gasket sealant other than making it difficult to use again. The reason for using sealant is that I think I may have a small air leak & this may help cure it.

I decided not use sealant on the gasket & all turned out fine with the previous problem of the engine occassionally stalling no longer happening.

Fred - I take it that the gasket (P/N 7700114203) doesn't need any form of sealant or grease, from what you're saying, then?

I'm just about to replace the plugs on 182 as well as both gaskets. It was over 50k since I last did them, so I've slept a bit since then.
