You can do this yourself with a decent socket set and a hammer. I did it on the wifes toyota when i lost her key after changing the pads. Tighten up the other nuts as much as you can. Hammer on a socket thas tight of it. Undo.

I get this now and again when I go around long bends at speed. Like at some motorway junctions.

BTW I think if I was buying one now, I'd go for a cheap one and spend the change on sorting it out. They are fragile if driven hard and need uprating. Certainly all the mountings and suspension. The engine and gearbox seem really strong and except the steering wheel the interior is wearing well.

I think I would want to be sure the dealer is going to pay the 1200. If not go elsewhere.

I doubt its the ARB bushes. I have just changed engine mounts, wishbone bushes and top mounts. I left the arb alone. One of the many knocks I had was the one your describe and all the knocks have gone without touching the arb.

Could you swap the 17's of 16's and generate some cash. It does improve the handling.

Fixed mine. But I fitted poly bushes too which redices the movement a lot.

Just pressed in a k-tec bearing. Fixed my nosiey bearing. Took 10tons and a blow lamp on the disc for 30mins before it budged.

Its the top mounts that knock under wheelspin. Rose jointed ones fix it.

I run yellows on the front of mine and deicded standard rears are fine. I pick them up tomorrow. I'll let you know if they catch fire before the fronts do.

I think the engine mounts were ok to do. The hardest thing was the wheel bearing. Took 10tons plus a lot of heat to press it out.

If you wishbones or moving and enlarging the rear hole you will notice the car squirm under heavy braking.

Correct. Mine had only worn the rear mounting points. I looks caused by heavy braking forces, causing the wisbones to toe out and push the rears in.

I have gone for the whole dog bone in poly in the end. All the engine mounts have been changed too, so I can check the gaps also.
