There are renault ones you can get.
I've still got these minty fresh in their box from last year if you're interested: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?447884-Genuine-renault-sideskirts-for-non-sports&highlight=
(Theres a picture of someone's car with them fitted further down...
Had this same problem a while back and it turned out it was the sensor (little thing that sticks out of the bottom of the passenger wing mirror). I just replaced it and it went back to normal.
Not sure if you can buy them from Renault, although I imagine you can (for an extortionate price no...
Drove past an Alien Green 200 in the car park at the Riverside Tesco's in Dundee a couple of hours ago, first time I've seen one in the flesh.
The back looked great, though the colour seemed a bit strange in the orange lights there - not really what I was expecting. Didn't get a chance to...
Cruisin' top down (despite it being fecking baltic) in the del sol last night
Didnt spot you til I heard a yell from behind me after you'd passed by.
Car looked good though in the brief moment that I saw it.
Correct!
Would probably be the exact same spot as I dont think I had moved it between then, thats my street! LOL
What you doing lurking about? :p
You at the uni?
Yeah tried it several times to no avail mate, even left it out for several hours earlier and still nothing.
Guess its a trip to PC world or similar (I know what you mean about preferring local shops) to have it looked at then.
As I say I just hope that I dont have to fork out for a new battery!
Surely if it was the charger it wouldnt run from the mains either though?
Just praying that I dont need to shell out for a new battery, the f*****s are so damn expensive!
Any suggestions on places to have it looked at? PC world any good?
Not an expert by any means but from what I read up on it when I suspected mine was faulty the symptoms include emissions warning light, engine running strangely, decreased performance and increased fuel consumption.
As I said I'm sure I saw/heard somewhere that it can cause misfires as well but...
Nah its a sony vaio.
Wouldnt give a toss if it just said it didnt detect it but it doesnt seem to be charging either :S Or at least it turns off straight away whenever I unplug it anyways.
As title really, went to unplug my laptop from the mains earlier and it just switched straight off. Since then it says "No battery is detected".
Tried all the usual gubbins like switching it on and off etc but nothing seems to work so any other suggestions?
Places to get it looked at...
This is the one I saw: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=314560&highlight=lambda+sensor
Type "lambda sensor" into the search though mate, loads of threads come up as I just discovered!
Lambda sensor?
Thread on here a while back about them, I'll see if I can find it for you.
I had the exact same problems with mine a while back (but not the misfires - though I think problems with it can cause these as well) saw the thread and replaced mine. All good since then :)
Cheers guys, I'll have a look in to it :)
LOL at the suggestions to take it to fred/GDi/k-tec, fancy lending me the money to head all the way down there?!
Thanks for the input anyways though.
What in particular actually needs set up on them other than the camber? Would be good to have an...
Camber is the angle of the wheel mate
Positive = top of wheel further out than bottom
Negative = bottom further out than the top
So if you're running too much positive camber then the outsides of the tyres will be getting worn faster
Thats what I suspected TBH.
I'm not sure what specialist places there are in scotland that I could take it to though :S
What is there that actually requires setting up anyways? Is it just the camber?
Finally getting around to having my coilovers fitted. :D
Got the fronts on last week and going to do the rears some time in the next couple of days.
I was just wondering if anyone would recommend anywhere to get them set up properly?
I was considering just taking it to the likes of kwikfit...
Yeah I'm not planning on having it any higher than that (providing I can still get over speed bumps etc) :o lol. I only needed to raise it a bit because one of them was lower than the other and it was scrubbing.
Car is in for it's MOT and for a repair at the moment but will be getting the...
Yeah thats what I was using to fit them yesterday, cheers anyway mate :)
I'm just going to take mine to a garage to have it done I reckon, saves the hassle of fiddling with it all the time trying to get it right and I dont think its that expensive to have done?
Cheers guys.
Got the fronts fitted yesterday, however the ring to ajust the height on one of them had seized pretty badly.
It was too low to get the wheel back on without it scrubbing so it took us the rest of the day to get that sorted and as a result we didn't get the rears done.
It...
Finally getting around to fitting my coilovers tomorrow :D
Just wondered if there were any particular tools or anything that I'm going to need other than the obvious spanners, allen keys, axle stands etc?
For example I thought that I'd need spring clamps but from reading an old thread on here...
I'm not sure when the light comes on tbh, I don't have a trip computer in my poverty spec car lol.
If it's at one gallon I was probably pushing it by going over 50 miles!
How far has everyone else managed then?
Petrol light came on a few days ago in my car but with me being rather skint I decided to try and make it last until I got paid again.
To my surprise I actually managed over 50 miles from when the light came on  at which point I chickened out and decided I'd better put some in or risk...
