my MOT is due tomorrow, and i have only one worry, my exhaust is a de-cat. When i bought the car the guy said it wudnt fail on emissions because of the year of the car. mines a 1992 clio... just wondered if anyone had any idea if this is true and i dont have to worry about anything?? cheers

last time a mate looked over the clio, he said i need some gearbox oil and put the little he had left in the car!im worried that i myt be running low on it! is it hard to top it up?because its under the car i think?? and is it crucial i get some oil in? cheers

thinkin of doing and engine swap this summer and trying to think of my options, obviously theres the valver and williams options but then the laguna 2.0 rti engine came to mind.would that be more hassle than its worth or would it be quite a good idea? cheers

my mate has offered me a williams bonnet, front wings and front bumpers in williams blue for 200.is tht a decent price? as my RT is tungy they would need re spraying. does anyone have any clue to how much that would cost? cheers benj

he said he'd do both and supply both bearings for 85 so sounds like a fair price to me to be honest! cheers mate

my uncles owns a reno specialist garage and has said he will fix me em for 85 quid (including supplying the wheels bearings). would anyone say thats a fair price? cheers

went home from uni last week, and tried the clio to see if it would turn over(been left at home, me at uni)and it wouldnt!so i bumped it, put it back on drive, turned it off and tryed it agen!same again, wouldnt start!like a pinging noise! someones told told me there might be muck and crap in...

but.....wouldnt for e.g a valver kick out more emissions than a 1.4 therefore failing the mot, and not been able to tax it then??n when coming to sell t and it says 1.4 on the registration docs and under the bonnet a luvly valver lump?

im planning on getting an engine conversion done to the clio in the summer, either a GT turbo engine or a valver one. The problem im thinkin is, when ive had it done, would the car need to be re-registered under the new engine for e.g from 1.4 rt to 1.8 16v etc.???? therefore insurance hitting...

when i rev the engine only a little bit say to 1500 rpm and take my foot shaprish off the pedal, sometimes it sounds like it will stall, then sometimes it does!will this be a timing problem?any ideas?because its annoying and wurrying me! cheers btw i have a 1992 1.4 rt

when i first start the car up(recently been cold), when driving down the street it starts in a fashion chugging, not like propper jerking but like a scooby sort of noise from the exhaust?is it mis-firing?if so does the cold weather have anything to do with it? cheers

ive just recently bought a mk1 ph1 clio, and this may sound stupid, but is the clutch pedal on older clios tend to be quite stiff/hard to push down? might just be me, because the clutch pedal on my old starlet was pretty soft.May be that i just need to get used to it? cheers in advance ben

when i start the clio up somtimes and when pulling off from a start, the fan belt(well thats what i think it is) squeels,(sounding like an astra diesel van or sumthing:dapprove: haha) any solutions to this, or any known reasons why its doing it? cheers
