Not often i see many of these around now, brought back memories of my old one (although mine was striped!)!
Friday (12th) afternoon heading along Montrose Street, RB without the stripes, clean and shiney. Fine day for a drive too!
I decided to fit the eibach sportlines after i found out how much i was going to be to replace my broken front spring.
A full set of springs from Ktec was about 155 compared to the 126 Renault wanted for the one spring, made sense really, i wasnt going to entertain coilovers as wasnt prepared to...
Aye, think that was me, were you behind me? I was heading into dundee to get spring compressors so i could change out my springs today. Jobs a good 'un! :)
I think that sounds like my car, RB w/stripes, dont think theres many with the evo sticker in the back. Cant think why it would ring a bell though.....
Ah, ok, i wondered if it was that. I kinda ruled it out as the air con pump was at the other side of the engine bay. So is that just a reservoir of some sort?
I have just found a leak on the driveway and its a yellow fluid coming from a canister/resevoir on the passenger side front of the engine. I dont know what it is as its very clean and not a colour i have seen before. Ive put up some photos to see if anyone recognises what it is.
Looking up at...
Yea its the bracket that actually attaches to the car im after, its a renault part but im not having much luck with the parts man at my local dealer. Need to find out where to get it to stop the exhaust from looking silly!! A part number ideally!?
Ktec have them? Never saw them on the website, i only saw the actual mount with the rubber that connects the exhaust to the boot floor bracket?
Mine have 86900 on them and just gave now, not a bad innings i guess!
I just noticed today that one of my rear exhaust mounts has rotten through. Got some pics:
Has anyone got the part number as the parts man at my local dealer got confused when i explained it!? If not i may have to get one made someplace, but im sure im not the first person with this rust...
Her sorry i just found this thread, i was 46ish each and i fitted them myself, took about 2 hours for both sides (rear only). Piece of piss to fit, i felt so accomplished after i had done them!!
Im reckoning its a loose connection but has anyone else had the STOP light and Battery light flickering on off occasionally? The altenator isnt that old (10 months) so im sort of ruling it out. Possibly the battery or connections?
Cheers
I did to begin with, i was going to return it to a standard exhaust but when i looked into it, it would have meant a new bumper skin etc and just open a can of worms really!!
I wouldnt change it now tho because of the sound it has when being driven hard! Kinda like it, besides the damage to my...
Aye, the 4 exhausts came with it when i got the car a couple of years ago, wasnt sure to start with, kinda grown on me now but they are a bit on the noisy side!
Yea, i spot the Vee a mile off some mornings, cracking looking car! I work in dyce, usually see you when im bleery eyed after...
Has anyone come across a guide to fitting a power steering pump to a 182 or fitted one before? Ive had a look and dont reckon its anything too taxing, but it is always good to follow an instruction! I have the right tools and parts all i need is a wee guide, if anyone can point me in the right...
