Hi - I sold this and forgot to update this site - £5150 in the end. I think this was a fair price on both sides, all things considered.
That was after about 3 weeks and 3 different interested parties viewing it (1 of which put off by import, another just total time waster)
Cheers All
....i had the "hair dressers car" comment but not the carphone warehouse salesman one, so thats a new one. like it. I'm blind to it - wanted a TT for a long time...Hope their forum is as responsive and helpful as this one.
Well guess thats Renault for you....one story from one, another from another.....! Not been overly impressed with them generally, last time i got anywork done they dropped an aolloy scratching it badly...i only noticed later that day, went back the next and they admitted what they'd done...I...
Ok good for you not an issue. Looks like a smashing car - identical to mine on the outside...they are lovely cars.
What you getting next? I pick up an Audit TT tomorrow, 52 plate - i keep smiling just thinking about it, - just as i did 5 yrs or so when i was getting the Clio.
Xzbit - a word or warning check out the thread i posted "172 Import - Selling problem". Hopefully not an issue for you if not an inmport, otherwise is matter of opinion if import effects price.....
Thanks Len reassuring to hear. But Dick also right with people wil only pay what worth to them....i'm inclined to hold out for the right price....
I'll tell you what all, whenever i do get a sale agreed i'll update you all on final price / outcome.
Funny thing is, from previous threads i read...
Hi - the deal is well and truly off. Neither of us wanted to negotiate further, so now back to drawing board of trying to sell again.
Now had to ask Autotrader to amend the advert to remove the word Alarm!
Still its only the second day.
I did speak to another Renault dealer (I think we all...
Got through and yup its an import....from Austria apparantly. First i knew of it but perhaps not that suprising. Howver am suprised DVLA didn't know....must do dome more research and see what its worth...
Superfast Dan thats a bit strong but agree with thye sentiments....don't wanna see go for £4600, that would be giving it away and its in smashing condition too
He had mention £500 off asking price but think i'm inclined to take my chances waiting for another buyer and a better price, being honest all round
Local Renault couldn't tell me if it it was an import...may try elsewhere...i'll post an update later how i get on! Thanks for all your help...
OK. Well have sat in in the car for 30 seconds and went crazy...and guess what no alarm...nothing!
However just called DVLA and they say its definently not an import as it has never been regsitered outside of this country. Confused as heck....
Keep it coming chaps....The locking wheel nuts, i assume this is just the handy key Renault always ask me for right? Not sure what imobiler thingy i have either....looked at some past threads and noticed talk about a LED light near the gear box. I don't have one of tehse either....
Wow quick response there. Thanks. Is there any real proof that I can convince the buyers though? Any website? ...i tried parkers and all sorts and unfortunately theres no number to call or fields to put in to say its an import (an answer in itself perhaps!).
Hi All,
Sorry to be a traitor but after 5 years happiness i have decided to sell my Clio Sport 172. Having placed it on Autotrader just yesterday i got an interested party whose since seen the vehicle.
Howver having agreed a price we both now discover the car was an import (not clear on log...
