i have same problem with right hand headlight unit.ive swapped bulbs ignitors balast unit and even tried pluging in the left hand wiring plugs and it still doesnt always light up!!!!!!! so its something to do with the whole headlamp assembly which i cant figure out is why?

yes thats correct. it seems to switch on sidelights no matter how light outside it is and will not switch over to dipped beam unless.i switch to dipped beam first then start the engine and sometimes it doesnt stay on dipped beam.

i done the tutorial on here and i would say sounds like the mechanic fooked up.thats why i think its better to leave them pulley bolts alone unless the dephaser pulley needs to be changed as imo itsd not worth the risk of it coming loose and destroying your engine.french engineering at its best...
