The stock clutch and flywheel are almost gone.

3rd gear from 1000 rpm I hold pretty good and then he kills me in 4th...
tbh I don't know if it's the vid or smth else. The car pulls from 2000 rpm as you can see on the graph in the first post. There is no turbo lag and no 'kick in the back'.
My car is in the 'range' of an e46 m3, and quicker then most things on the road. I am having some boost issues at the moment...

I don't even think s3 has a 'launch control' in that sense of a way?
I could be wrong :) Putting it in S and 'dumping' the brake is launch control?
that could (in theory) be practical only if you were braking hard in a straight line.
doubt you could swerve to avoid something with locked up wheels :p

But I can't seem to leave newer audis with dsg from a 'dig' ... only bmw m3 /335 etc . They spin and I fly away :)
s3 is a damn fast car and is SICK with a bigger turbo kit.
Are you considering a downpipe with a sports cat or a decat even? that's another 15ish bhp

i generally like the interior of all audis, and hate the bmw's.
The 'fake wood' in here is gash though. I will be doing all the little bits in either carbon (if it doesn't look chav/racey) or flat/piano black.

i was always a fan of the five spoke audi rims, mostly the 'fat five' one but I like these a lot. They're kinda pricey and they look great on the car (and cool when moving)
They will be painted in gunmetal (some honda nsx colour code).

It's been a while since i posted here.
After I wrote of the 197, I got a b7 A4. It didn't last even a year, hit some oil on the site of a recent accident and wrote that one off to.
In the meantime I've been passively looking for a good clean 172/cup to turn into some sort of a track car - but...
the car is a US-import chris :)
I could find a quattrro tfsi model with all the options here, and this one was quite cheaper than anything here in Montenegro so I bit the bullet and I don't regret it.
The side-markers will be painted soon.
As for the smaller profile tyres and lowering the car...
installed the springs yesterday... yes it 'could' go lower, but the 4cm that H&R advertise was just too much, I barely manage to drive normaly with eibachs on the poor streets here. The springs will settle a tad (as everyone knows)
no other mods except tints all around and custom plates...

plans are a remap (still can't get a decent shop to do it for me) so it should hopefully see 235/240 bhp and a lot of torque...

can this cause boost leak or a similar 'feel' like car has lost power ?
mine says it was changed in september 2009 but I'm quite sure it's broken.

i was thinking something like 1000 euros for the engine and 1000 for the gearbox. Is that too much for a 20.000 miles engine and box?
as some of you know, i crashed my car.
Bought a new one so dont want to spend the money fixing this one....not worth it.
anyway, i was thinking of selling it for parts.
what should i ask for the engine, and how much for the gearbox?
they are in perfect condition.
