yeah the raider alloys have a simailr finish to the 18inch Monza alloys that u get on MK5 Golf GTIs.
Be warned though, if u ever kerb them, they are nigh on impossible to repair. apparently only a handful of places in the whole of the uk can repair these finishes.
The mk4s maybe, but they weren't fit to wear the GTI badge.
The MK5s totally different, more power and with dsg will hit 60 in 7.
add in plenty of torque, and they'll easily keep up with a 182 on the open road.
On the subject of whether it is cup packed.....
does it have a jack with it?
None of the cup packed cars and R27s came with a jack....
Not conclusive proof, as an owner could have kicked up a fuss and got a jack free, but just something extra to consider.
Yup, i felt a similar thing when i drove my mate's Golf GTI with DSG.
The super smooth delivery throughout the rev range makes these turbo hatches feel effortlessly quick.
We both went on a trackday later, and on straights he was pretty much same as me in my 197 cup when i expected him to...
car looks really good as is.
if u get turinis, just stick to the usual. anthracite, silver etc..
i kno u probably wanna stand out a bit, but ornage would just look god awful in all honesty.

25bhp for £24.99
U can't beat that! ;)
cool pics.... i have a similar one of my r27!
went a while back but i kinda stumbled upon the roads.
anyone know postcode i shud stamp into the tomtom to just get straight there?
it was a one-off special for Jimbo666.
In honour of his brother i believe.
However, i think lhd markets can still get a white r27 tho if i'm not mistaken.
I know everyone is saying its a "shift now or else you're buggered light"
BUT....
I've got a 172 brochure in front of me and in the features section it says.... and i quote, "OPTIMUM GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR".
Just to confuse matters.....
But isn't the Twingo GT a 1.2 Turbo??
Its a whole different kettle of fish when it comes to turbos, a simple remap will usually result in big gains.
On a 1.6 NA engine, its a lot harder to get such gains.
thats an excellent price. have heard of ppl being quoted £250 for the first service
make sure they put in the right grade of oil for you and haven't stiffed you on that instead.
shud be 5w40
they are a bit thirsty, but to be fair, they do settle down a bit with age.
i used to average about 25mpg when i first got it, now i've past 12k, i regularly see 30mpg.
still i bit poo tho, i remember seeing 34mpg quite regularly in old 182.
regarding the interior, for me the biggest let...
they seem to be very very rare over here.
i do like them a lot; the finish is very similar to that of the 18inch Monzas on my old MK5 Golf GTI.
Only thing that puts me off these "chromey" wheels is that if u kerb them, getting them refurbed is an absolute nightmare.
Only a few places in...
i remember in autocar a few years ago there was a "spyshot" of a supposed RS Megane which had the RS bumper etc.. and it did look quite tasty.
think it was taken whilst the car was parked up around the Ring, with a few Renault techs looking the car over.
maybe it got cancelled i guess?
gutted 4 you.
assuming they fix it to a good standard, i wouldn't worry any more about it.
as has been said, most clutch issues have arisen on cars very early in their lives which points to someone screwing up during manufacture. Repaired properly, it shouldn't give u any more cause for...
how about a Smart diesel?
only available LHD tho in the old shape model. going for abt £4-5k for a decenet 50k miles one.
no road tax, and apparently will do up to 90 mpg!
unless u need rear seats........
