Dedicated cornering lamps are not xenons. They come with the black surround, but no washer jet. The headlights are a standard type bulb. If you buy xenons, they included the cornering feature and the black surrounds, but also have washer jets.

Well I have had it for just over three weeks now, and after after a long weekend in Scotland, she has just over 1200 miles on the clock. Absolutely loving everything about the car, the noise more than anything. Heres a few pics I have taken since I've had it.

Don't get Liquid Yellow, it will clash with mine. Just kidding mate. The R26 in Dixons is gorgeous, I was tempeted to cancel my order for one. But I still think the 197 is a slightly better looking car. All the best making your choice

Nice to hear a good review of the R27 and that a few little niggles have been sorted. I have also heard that the steering feel has been improved a lot too. Looking forward to picking mine up in June.

jph172 - I think the 197 is far from a disappointment. The only real complaints people seem to have against the car are 1) Its not quick enough - I'm sorry but 6.9 secs to 60 is quick, and I don't think that 1 or 2 tenths of a second really make that much of a difference in the real world...

C.slicker - test drove and ordered the car from Evans Halshaw Renault in Doncaster. Very impressed with the level of service from the lads there. I, too tried the Dealer in Grantham, but was told that a colleague had taken the demo car home for the weekend, and they didn't seem to keen to help...

The Corsa was an option, but in my opinion, it is overstyled and it will certainly not be anywhere near a match for the 197s chassis. Plus, it is still after all, a Corsa ;)
