I was really impressed with the H&Rs I had on my 197, and they rave about them on 197.net. IIRC H&R are owned by Eibach anyway, which can't be a bad thing!
RUK are never very helpful tbh. The only way to get anything done is go over their heads to the management. I emailed Jeremy Townsend - Renault UK Communications Director, and he helped me get my recaro issues resolved on my 197. May also be worth dropping him an email -...
They won't have fancyplates written on them. I bought and fitted a set of standard plates from them last week and they don't have anything written on them (apart from the usual markings in the bottom RH corner)

Hi mate - that was me! Was on my way back from Norfolk visiting my rents. Didn't spot you though I'm afraid. Was a disappointing run down tbh, only say a liquid yellow R26R up near snetterton, and an albi blue 225 in Dorking.Whereabouts on the M25 did you see me?
I'm Networks/Information Mgr (looking after DII all all the info held on it!) I'm down in the HQ (Building 51)Saw the flamer this morning too - looks tidy, esp with those wheels.
Haha we'll see! I'd be more concerned about ade tbh! He can crash over at mine if needs be though.
Depends on the route. 272 I'm guessing? Have to see if you can keep up this time though!!
Janspeed make exhausts for Ktec - they're not the same company though. It should fit if the bores are the same? Might be worth confirming with Ktec though.
I'd say an F1 is worth it mate, bearing in mind they have the recaros as standard whereas would be an extra on an FF, which you may pay more for. If you want recaros then IMO the F1 is better value. (Am slightly biased though!)Between £7k-£8k is about right i'd say. That UR on cs has new tires...
Re: need to no where i can get carpet from to cover the place where rear seats were??
Speak to Ktec: - http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4097&catid=&appid=2&pic=1
I bought the H&Rs mate. Improved the handling, less body roll and felt much sharper - same as all lowering springs tbh! The ride is a bit crashy though as obviously the shocks are compressed, but nowhere near as bad as some.
It just a standard renault suspension, which is firmer/lower than standard. Also has a quicker steering rack I believe as well.See Ktec Racing for the lowering springs. Lots of people (myself included) have gone down the spring route and bought the H&Rs from them. Well recommended!
Yep - really easy, they just pop out and then pop back in afterwards. From memory there aren't any clips to break on these, apart from when removing the bulb holder obviously.
Think you can spec the seat covers on any 197/200 tbh, but imo I'd say that was a cup with extras as it has the non-colour coded rubbing strips and no B pillar cover.Have seen nimbus' in lux trim before, but the lux is the ff equivalent isn't it?
Prices seem reasonable tbh. You'd be surprised how much of the car will actually sell (even all the smaller bits). You may even be able to ask a bit more for some things, obviously depending how quickly you want rid!
Is no different to the 172s/182s I've owned tbh, I let them warm up for 5/10 mins before driving and have no issues. A map would improve it if it bothers you that much though.
And now they've done it again!!!Luke called me back as promised a couple of weeks ago to see what could be done for my R27. The quote came back very competitive considering the mods on the car, yet they still knocked a bit more off to price match with my Aviva renewal quote!Couldn't say fairer...
Shouldn't do mate. The screws holding it in are behind the dash strip, and from memory another screw on the far left behind the door rubber?Hope that helps.
Not only have they done a cracking deal on the track 172, but they've done a 'like for like' policy on the mods, and Luke had a real interest in the 172 project - you don't get that anywhere else IMO.Would thoroughly recommend them - their service is second to none! Thanks once again Luke - have...
I tried this on my 182 but still had to replace the flexi pipe every year. I bolted up the cat to mani joint to stop the blowing and had a flexi section on the decat pipe. Unfortunately the movement of the exhaust and the 'almost' neat fuel passing through it, worked away the insides of the...
Renault Customer Services - 0800 072 3372They'll ask you to take the car to your nearest dealer for examination, and then Customer Services deal with the dealer direct. Be ready to chase they up regularly though!!
Rentech use Pro Tyre down the road from them for alignment, and they're not too bad. Ktec can do alignment etc in house though.IMO they're worth the extra bit of cash. I've just had mine lowered and set up by them and it's never felt so good after having the geometry done.
