Get two buckets, fill one with plain water and one with your favourite suds. Using the hose, rinse the car the use a wash mitt in the soapy water. Clean a panel of your car then put the mitt in the plain water. Rub it with your other hand to get grit out. Dip it back in the soapy water. Repeat...
Well I'd washed it a few times but decided to have a blast with the Meguiars stuff I've been stocking over the last few months:
Products:
* M's Gold Class Shampoo
* Halfords Sheepskin mash mitt
* M's Clay kit (with the quick detailer and terry cloth)
* M's 3 step system (paint cleaner...
I took the roof unit off but you can't get to much. I'll take aerial off and sillicone that before squidging it back on. See if that helps first. Thanks.
My mum had her Saxo valeted by some company and the 'belts felt really smooth and shiney after it was done. Wasn't a greasy feeling, just very smooth. What product would do that to them?
I'd assume it would make the paint go crazied if you're not careful/do it wrong.
I've got some sticking out dents on my bonnet from where the prevous owner/garage in it's past slammed it down on top of tools etc. Wonder if this will fix some of those?
In heavy rain, if I park pointing slightly downhill, water drips from where the winder is.
Is there a fix for this?
Haynes says to consult your dealer... Thanks Haynes, you are teh win.... </sarcasm>
Flux all the way. They bend over backwards for me to beat re-newal. Get some quotes via confused and autotrader etc and phone Flux up, tell them it's cheaper. They'll want proof so I give them the login details for my confused account then they go "fair enough". Sometimes they only beat it...
I've put 13cm Xplod in my front doors. All others are still standard. Got a 12inch sub in the boot though. Cost of install: £14
head unit : free
xplods: £10
amp: £4
sub & box: free
Car boots and mates chucking "broken" s**t out is great :)
Where abouts in Lincolnshire are you from? I'm liking the locale for the photos.
But can I ask... how come it was £1100 ? Did that include the insurance?
I try to spend a Saturday or Sunday cleaning the car. But the GF was like "you've been doing that all day". I'm no longer with her (for other reasons than me spending time washing the car) and the car has never been so clean (except it needs PC'ing).
I'm trying to. Just gotta sort a problem with the steering/front suspension as it wont track right and clunks sometimes when cornering.
And my rusty back arches...
And I think my rear left brake cylinder or shoes or handbreak cable is busted...
Thanks everyone :)
I can hear the clock ticking when sat in the car on my lunch. I usually read a book or something and don't have music on which is why I can hear it.
I only want the Rage exhaust for the looks and that I need a new back box anyway as mine is currently blowing.
Well I don't have the car manual, never got one with the car.
I don't have the key for it either, I suppose it's the same one as the boot lock? I don't have the key for the boot lock so I guess I'll have to find a boot lock/glove box lock and key combo from the scrappers...
Yeah just twigged. Only ever called them Machine Polishers because Porter Cable is the manufacturer isn't? I'm a pedant so refuse to call a vacuum cleaner by the common name "Hoover" if you see where I am coming from.
