Yes sounds like youve got it right.

The ball fits into an arm thats slotted like a track. This track is open at one end. You have to feed the ball in from this end. As mentioned before take off rubber bungs and hold back the light internals then slide the ball into the slot.

So is the 172 bumper dependant on 172 wings? or is it that 172 side skirts are dependant on 172 wings? In other words if i wasnt fitting a pair of standard 172 renault side skirts i could indeed fit the 172 bumper. Then later fit replica side skirts.
