    Spacers ?

Hi I would be looking for absolute min of 1.5 times thread dia ie 18mm of thread available. This equals 12 turns of the wheel bolt. If not longer bolts for peace of mind? Yep ET33 as already said There are spacers, purpose-designed specifically for your car, which bolt on to your hub and fit...

    Wheel spacers?

OK so on checking, the wheelbolts are of course 12mm dia, with a 1.5mm pitch, the most common type. So I reckon you need 18mm depth, most readily checked by seeing if you can get minimum 12 turns of the bolt to tighten it, i.e. 12x1.5 = 18. If not places like DT sell these bolts in grip lengths...

    Wheel spacers?

The best guide I would suggest is the MSA 'Blue Book' regulation, requiring a grip length on the stud or bolt, of 1.5 times the thread diameter MINIMUM. I've not bothered checking what the Clio bolt dimensions are TBH but let's use a typical fitment of 10mm dia and 1.5mm pitch in the thread, as...

Some help needed from fred, edde, ben etc...

I'm with Jay 172 on this one. You have to depressurise the fuel rail before dismantling on any fuel-injection engine, usually by taking the pump fuse out and turning over on the starter. The pressure can stay in there for days! If the electrics are cut off, the injectors won't open and if the...

DCi cut out and will not start

Edde you've made some good points there. But the main one is, yes the fault codes need to be read. Legally any trade mech should have access to them, but it seems only the Renault Clip reader can read them accurately by clearing any irrelevant old ones and only main dealers have one? I just...

DCi cut out and will not start

Sorry just to clarify, EGR is exhaust gas recirculating valve if you didn't know already. All modern diesels have them to cut emissions, esp NOX, dollops of exhaust gas are admitted back in to the engine to be re-burnt under certain running conditions, obv not when you want full power for e.g...

DCi cut out and will not start

Hi you will prob gets lots of conflicting advice, could well be a £20 part like a TDC sensor, fail on all sorts of cars. But consider this my actual experience with a Dci65, superb economy car btw but I had v similar prob to yours, eventually made me sell the car:mad: and it is well known to...
