Thats the coil pack mate! there is usually no cover for these that i know if so im guessing yours is getting water on it somehow when its raining. Prob be on the safe side to renew the dizzy cap and rotor as this is directly related to the coil pack.

i have a 98 version and i would change the tdc sensor for starters, and if that doesnt do it then id go for the coolent sensor. Id also look at dizzy cap and rotor depending when they were last changes followed up by a good service (plugs filters oil) Let us know how it goes

HI there, I have an old mk1 phase 3 clio 1.4rt 98 r reg, this needs the cv joints doing but according to haynes i have to replace the whole drive shafts as the joint is not avaliable seperatly. How much and (roughly) nd how long for them to do this type of job? Cheers

same garage fitted the last few as i always used themand have no issues for the past 10 years of using them. I asked about the bearing last time and they said they checked everything and all was fine.

Hi, Need pointing in the right direction please Ive got an old mk 1 ph 3 1.4rt clio and the rear n/s wheel bearing keeps going (humming) ive had like 4 in the past 2 years!!!!! Im no mechanic by far but doe the bearing sit inside the rear break drum??? if so could the drum be the reason...

Ive checked the bearings but i think as i can notspin them or load them enough i can not tell or hear anything. AGAIN i think it may be the shaft but as im poor i dont want to shell out for the shaft if its a stupid bearing. HELP PLEASE

I have a new lambda sensor arriving tomorrow morning and im also gonna buy the removal socket, Is there anything i need to do other than unpluging the conector? I ask as ive a feeling its gonna be a bugger to get out. For a start it looks tight and rusty/seised. All help appriciated...

did you hit it all the way round the drum, as there are 2 shoes in there???? if that doesnt work then you may have to try take drum off and see what the problem is?

so which lambda sensor do i get?????? in ngk website there is several to choose from?
