How to check driveshafts

  clio 1.4RT
hi all,

Been away for some time now as worked abroad but not im back my little old 98 1.4rt clio has a nasty whine/rubbing sound when i turn right above 40 mph. The slightest nudge of the steering wheel to the right whilst driving above 40 especially on duel carrigeways or motorways make it do it.

Ive done the wheel bearing wheel test of rocking the wheel both 12 and 6 and also 9 and o`clock and nothing "seems" abnormal, which makes me think it could be the drive shafts.

Is there a way of checking these????

all help appriciated

  anything i get
hi , check the wheel bearings by spinning the wheel by hand and feeling the spring as you spin , you may feel a rumbling , check the rears as well by feeling the back of the drum/bottom of shock absorber.
its probably one of the wheels bearings on the left of the car.

Ive checked the bearings but i think as i can notspin them or load them enough i can not tell or hear anything. AGAIN i think it may be the shaft but as im poor i dont want to shell out for the shaft if its a stupid bearing.

HELP PLEASE
