Speak to your insurance company they will be able to advise you from their legal department, the company will have liability insurance that they can claim from.
Scratch X is good, also Ultimate compound is also good and can be used by hand with a MF. Just be sure to only use a little and work for a fair amount of time as the abrasives will cut then refine. (Ultimate compound is harsher than Scratch X)
Spotted a racing blue 182, I think it was a 54 plate. The intercooler in the front grill took my attention, although the exhausts look standard. Anyway this was in North London, I was in the work 3 series.

As above, a friend of mine has a 52 plate 172 (ph2) its in a sorry state. Not washed, needs a fare bit of work but I have offered to take on the challenge as a fellow Renaultsport owner. His has a rumbling sound at 30mph onwards from the rear. My thoughts are wheel bearings?
