Probably because with up to 40,000ish cars per day going through it's the most efficient way to take and upload pics. Of course that's spread over a few auction houses but even so. It does however make you laugh for a country obsessed with tech and especially cameras!
Drop me a message, easy enough to do yourself and I have talked a few people through it including @Jason_E who’s car is due to land this week with my next one. It’s not difficult...
Haha I'm going to keep it for now. Quite enjoy driving something I couldn't give too much of a toss about. Nice to know it's mechanically sound and actually sounds alright. Look forward to piling it into the country lanes around here.
Car finally back today and finally got to drive it! New alternator fitted, full service incl plugs, oil, all filters, new Potenza's all round.
A bit of a relief managing to finally open it up and test out the gearbox etc which all seems to be spot on. The car drives very well.
Not sure what...
So car has been in a friend garage almost a week (I told him not to rush!) having the alternator and full service done. After that I am hoping I might actually get to drive it for once and see what it’s like!
Also having MOT done and once I pick it up will get the new tyres fitted. I’d like to...
Car has gone in today for full service and alternator fitting. I hope after all this I might actually get to drive it! Not even had chance to take it over 3k rpm yet given the issues! Let's hope it's not a complete lemon after all this. New window seals have arrived and wipers also so they'll be...
Right, new (used) alternator ordered as well as a new auxiliary belt to go on at the same time. Also ordered some brake fluid given the history doesn't look like it's been done for a few years. Prices updated! Fingers crossed that’s about it for now. Would like to sort the calipers out paint...
I wasn’t sure if I should include it or not but I guess insurance depends on the person hence why I did the two numbers.
Checked as many things as I can on the battery front and all pointing to the alternator. Heard the 197/200 are a bit fussy on replacing them with non genuine parts but I’ve...
Just trying to get to the bottom of the battery/alternator issues this morning. Put a new battery in from Euro's but once started the voltage doesn't seem to improve, I'm guessing the alternator is f*cked. Hopefully get to the bottom of it in the week.
Thanks guys! New battery and full service this week then hopefully I can actually give it a proper drive. Got a feeling there might be a new niggles with this one given the age and mileage with how it’s been sat but overall I’m very happy so far!
Weird one, I picked up my 200 today but both keys are missing the emergency key! Previous owner apparently traded in with them but missing somewhere between him trading and me buying. Anyone know where I can get replacements via VIN without paying Renault prices? No mad rush, just would like to...
Right, after much abuse over various car purchases over the past few weeks I am happy to be back into the CS Fold.
Whilst the car is probably a little unnecessary I somehow managed to convince myself a need a track car (complete novice) and suitable daily for my 20 mile B road commute. The...
Christ, I haven't have a 'phone' contract for a long time. Can't believe the price now! £79 a month?! Nearly £1000 a year?
Been on VOXI a while now for £10, they've been spot on! Second hand iPhone X has been golden.
I've always used last touch as drying agent and minimal beading. I'll get some ordered up and give it a go! I presume it's a bit more durable by the sound of it?
Well most of you are telling me things I have already thought about which is positive. The only thing which drew me to the Civic was the value and potential reliability. Ideally I would find a 197/200. I guess it will come down to which one has the better deal to be had. Having said that, I've...
Soooo, I have been outside of the ClioSport loop for a little while but I have promised myself to get into track days this year. I have little to no experience (other than some pathetic XBOX games) so wanting to ease myself in!
Anyway, I have a reasonable daily driver which chugs away the 40...
Do you think it's acceptable to buy a car as a private buyer at the moment? Local purchase, I could walk to get it. I guess it would still be deemed unnecessary travel though, might slide it if we met in a supermarket car park to do the deal but I'm not sure if I'm quite that desperate! It's...
Found a dirt cheap Golf GTI near to me, I'm wondering if it is acceptable for me to 'exercise' walking to the persons house and make a no interaction purchase... seems to be a few bargains coming up now.
Only logged on again recently tbf.
Car looked awesome and even better, you own it!
Have just spent the last 30 mins reading through your project hah. What a transformation.
New wheels look awesome too, sadly didn't get chance to have a proper look as was just turning to go up the hill towards...
