I've been able when the car is working correctly (not at the moment idle control issue) to get about 40mpg in normal day to day driving with upto about 44mpg on a longer journey. It'll say in the hand book how long to run the engine in, once you've got past that point the mpg will improve...

Not yet, one supplier quoted off my reg No and the other wants the serial No, is it easy to locate?

Does anybody know where to find the idle control valve on a Mk2 Ph1 1.6i 16V engine? As i'm after prices and my mate has contacted couple of suppliers and 1 of them needs the serial No from my current valve. Any help greatfully received.:)

Just watch out, I know a few people who have been hit by a taix driver and the driver has then tried to turn it round to the other persons fault and tried to calim lost earnings, just watch out.

A stupid idea, if you just want sound when you jump on the gas, what about looking in one of the car mags for a back box, will give you the sound but not much performance.
