Renault replaced them under warranty not myself, so I can't comment & originally being over 18 months ago I can't remember if the spacers were on.
Is it possible to purchase solely one bearing/disc (I know it's not recommended) and I will pre-order spacers before replacing the bearing.
I've had this problem on my partners Clio 172, I replaced the faulty discs/bearings with genuine renault from Clio Wolverhampton on eBay, fitted these and 3 months later they failed had them both replaced under warranty, and now one has started getting noisey again 3 months on...
All 3 sets...
I'm SammiCool's partner, when she explained the problem to me & that the temp gauge hardly moving I suggested the connector not plugged into the sensor.
It was took back to the garage and they found the coolant sensor unplugged, all plugged back in and working fine now :)
To cut a long story...
Hi, just a quick update I have so far fixed the problem (touch wood!) :D
After replacing the rear shocker,
Front track rod ends, and tracking, Anti roll bar bushes, both rear springs.
And as of today rear wheel bearings, geniune ofc (and discs & pads) the floaty feel has gone, steering is tight...
Well i replaced the rear shocker, a doddle! The cars not floaty anymore, but there's still a knocking when going over bumps so I'm going to check the strut tops when I get hold of a swan neck spanner, and also check the drop links.
Cheers
Hi All,
My Girlfriend bought a black 172 a few months ago now from a garage in newcastle.
So far she has had a reconned gearbox (Blew up on the journey home, literally sheared the teeth and cracked casing, the garage refused to give her a refund over the phone and she was 80 miles away)...
