Hi all,
Just got a Clio 1.2 TCE Dynamique, 2010 model and the rear lights have all started flickering. I've seen a few posts about it, so know it's probably some wiring our connector? Any idea how much it might cost to fix? Or if it's something i should be able to sort?

When I took the ECU out one of the connectors wasn't making contact with the board... We soldered it so it was making a connection, but still doesn't work :-(
Really could do with removing the immobiliser also... :-(
Difficult to look past Renault really, but then they have you over a barrell! :-(
Hi All, I know it is an age old problem, but was hoping I could get some advice...
My R Reg Clio 1.4 Maxim won't start because the key won't disable the immobiliser.

I need to find out what the Torque setting should be at for the front hub nut? have undone wrongly, so need to tighten it again! :mad:
The ol' Haynes only says the rear should be 175Nm... Should the front be the same?!?
Its for a 1998 R reg Clio 1.4 Maxim.

P.S Have changed the batteries, and the light on the fob is brighter...... But still no joy with disabling the immobiliser...
Guess I need to get some engineer to take a look......
True.... Not overly sure though... Surely if I hit the key fob about 20 times and the red light keeps flashing on it, it should have had enough power in to send a signal on the 1st press..... Who knows...
Ring around the ignition barrel?? what are you suggesting?
I only have the 1 key unfortunately, but will try changing the battery 1st as a cheap solution... Although the red light on the key lights up...
Got a 1.4 R reg Maxim, immobiliser won't switch off... so currently useless!! have swapped battery and previously sealed the sunroof! so no leaks...

Previosly my dad and I replaced my head gasked, and have driven for just over 3000 miles, so thought all was well.
At the moment I drive for a bit and the car starts overheating.
My dad has just had a look and the radiator is cold, even though the expansion tank is hot.

I understand that, but even though they are both at the right markers shouldn't it be tight? Had heard from somewhere we might need to wind the engine on a couple of times?!?
My dad and I have had the head skimmed and have put most of the engine back together...
