Where is the best place to get a pair of front calipers from?
Are the cheap eBay ones any good?
Not after getting them refurbed, as will swap them over straight away.
These aren’t cheap but least it could get you going again.

Seeing as time is on my hands still.
Purchased a scan gauge and wanted to get it fitted where the original clock goes. So got a second hand one in case I bolloxed it up. Also I can put it back to standard if needs be.
Fits nicely.

A few weeks ago, I had the elm come on and it was misfire cyl 1, was running on three at any load and any speed. Bit the bullet and changed plugs, leads, coil pack and injectors (all renault parts). Car then ran fine, went on a good hour blast after. Been left in the garage for a month and it’s...
Bought a new pole position a few weeks ago and had it fitted to the original trendline subframe, but it was miles to high.
So got myself a Jon Foz x low mount to fit the side mounts to then the seat in.
But they won’t go right to the edge because of the rolled edges on the Recaro mounts...
I am thinking of getting a Recaro pole position instead of the Recaro trendline that's in, as I want to run a harness on track. I have the Jon foz lower subframes for my trendline will these work with a pole position or will I need the side mounts as well.
Did a few track day last year with ad08r's and a run to the ring this may, first trackday this year was Blyton in Aug and it was a hot day, and the tyres despite having quite a bit of tread left just didn't seem right, played with pressures all day.
But they was constantly squealing? even when...
Is anybody still making these up?
Had a quick search and couldn't find anyone, I know at one time there were loads of people making them.
Just purchased a Sparco Renaultsport wheel and a omp boss and a ph1 stalk so trying to get everything together to do it in one.
Cheers

Is this right? I have just bought a new sparco wheel and a omp boss.
Took it into work to fit some Jon Foz lowered seat mounts and bleed the brakes after cooking them on the last night rack day.
Bloody hell bleeding the brakes was a nightmare. I made 100% sure I kept the master cylinder topped up but air got in somehow lol, too ages to bleed.
In the end...
Was at Donnington last night and the old girl performed great.
Was doing about 15/20 min stints and the brakes showed hardly any signs of fade.
Ebc cross drilled/grooved discs and yellow stuff pads. Fresh 5.1 fluid.
Was doing a cool down lap before coming in as well
However pretty much...
Got a saftey devices rear cage with a harness bar and the original trendlines in the front of my trophy.
I end up sitting like Quasimodo in them and got a few track days coming up so treating myself to a harness.
I reckon I am just going to get a 4 point with a seat belt style buckle.
Any...
Since I have had the cage fitted I have noticed its become quite tail happy, its quite easy to control with some throttle, but I keep thinking it might catch me out one time.
I am pretty sure this is because the rear has been stiffened up, I'm also running a rear anti roll bar, would removing...
Fancied a cage, but was unsure.
Seeing as it was never going to be a concours low mileage example and basically I wanted to drive the nuts of it I went for it.
Ordered one from mark fish and got him to install it, they did a ace job and was a great bunch of lads.
Got a rear mat and left...
It was quite high mileage for a trophy, 122k, but had been looked after, I knew I was going to have it, even though I told the missus we was just going to "have a look"
Here she is back at home, there was a nasty dent in the bonnet that would beee sorting and the box was a bit reluctant to go...
Got a new work phone today and remembered most of my pics of my trophy are on the old one. So thought I should put them on the World Wide Web before I forget my password for google drive or my Mac knackers up again and I lose all my stuff.
Anyhow, last year I had been messing about with a stage...
Seems bonkers to dismiss a car just because of a few extra miles.
These extra miles might have been driven with care and loads of services, while a low mileage one might have been ragged to death with no services thats bolloxed. You will never know till you go and have a look.
Also you cant...
