my mates got a quicksilve (106) and to be honest it aint a whole lot quicker than my 1.2!! Hes got it lowered and an induction kit and mine is standard.
Think its a bit quicker of the line cos its got more torque but has the same BHP apparently at 75 (dunno where Renault gets that from!)...

Is there much point fitting an induction kit to my 1.2? My mate has a 106 quiksilver and swears by it, but i dont know. Its got more room than the 172s in the engine bay so the head problem shouldnt be as bad should it?
Probably just going to go with a new filter for the airbox.
lol, im getting a Sony MD player cos i need MD LP and theres a nice Xplod one.
I think have some really old East17 on CD somewhere if you want it lol (all mines on MD too )
Fred can you email me a pic plz?? I thought that with a torsion bar, you had to move a nut up and down to lower/raise the ride height (thats what a mate in Halfords told me).
Thanks

adtmits: Ill dont know exactly off the top of my head what the model number is but its the MD LP Xplod one.
I just wanted to know if the displa works as well.
Thanks
adtmits,
can you tell me what the PC9-500 cable does. IS it just the stick or the stick and diplay as well (i know its not answering your question but i want to know as im getting an MD sony unit)
Thanks
1.Take one coat hanger.
2.Cut on either side by the hook
3.Cut the wire so there you form two u shaped bits
4. Stick em in the holes and pull out the head unit.
OR
Go to halfords and get the proper remover
Ok, so i have read the threads about ecoteks. What i want to know is that if i fit one to my 1.2 Dynamique will it make any difference at all?
Has anyone done this (pics?) and how hard was it to fit?
Thanks
P.S. by the way its an 02 model (nice and shiney and new )
Fred, as you have a dynamique too, i was wondering: are they lowered or just uprated suspension over the other standard clios? If they are lowered how much.
Chris
Oh well, phoned the dealer and said hed give me one next time im in the area. Just wanted to make sure your supposed to get one, although itd be very stupid not to give you one.
Me thinks its time to ask the dealer. I got a box with the original four nuts (so you can replace the four lock nuts) and the loch nut key, but no spanner to remove the alloys hub.
Manual says it should be in the glove box. Might have just been left off.
I found that too! Got a new Clio on wednessday this week, and couldnt find the hub key. Does this mean your not supposed to get one? What happens when you get a puncture?? Was going to phone the garage about it.
Thanks
stuharri: which pipercross induction kit did you get?? (part number??). I tried looking on the net for an induction kit for my 1.2 16v dynamique but dont know which one is the correct one.
Not really any help, but on my mates pug 1.2 his induction noise doesnt start to grunt until bout...
