From one DrR to another- I feel your pain!! I had the same with an old clifford alarm on my 205gti and that was fairly easy to disable... If I find out how, I'll let you know!
No idea, just bought the car today... Will have a look when I have some light tomorrow. It's a pain in the arse though- really quite loud when locking/ unlocking!
Appreciate the speedy replies!
So, I just got a 182 today (yay!) but when I lock the car it bleeps twice, and when I unlock the car it bleeps once. I'm presuming it's not a standard alarm, right? Does anyone know how I can disable the lock/ unlock bleeps?
Quite a spec list. Haven't seen it posted on here yet, apologies if it's a repost. Seems like a lot of car for the money!

What reg? I'll look out for you :) As for it sounding nice, it's actually just a cheapo pattern part exhaust from cat back :D Had a Ktec supersports stealth on previously but it droned like f**k so sold it.
I'm 32, currently on my 4th 172... Cheap, fun, fast, relatively efficient.. Last time I sold up I spent weeks researching alternatives and then got another!
Had 2 205gti miamis before the 172s! I don't care what other people think :)
Just fitted 4 Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres (15") to the Exclusive. Finally got to test them in the wet today- superb! Apparently the new non-directional tread design also eliminates the excessive road noise of the RainSport 2 tyres as they wear... Got 4 fitted for £200 (camskills). Bargain!
Thought someone might find this useful? Has been advertised for a while but was originally £1k

A KTR exhaust? Was speaking to a guy at K-Tec today, and as Budgie says- the pipe connected to the flange that slides into the centre section can be cut down- no welding should be required :)
Well at least you got to rofl at me, matey! Thanks for the swift reply- just trying to get the parts ordered up now- if I type my reg in, it says I should have the long centre section hence why I wanted to make sure... Raaaaaarrrr!! :banghead:
Quick ques- when you say longer do you mean the cat on the early ones was longer, or the centre section is longer?
Looking at centre sections it looks like:
early 172s were 128cm centre section...
