aye, and when they were getting up again i'd give them another two-stepper for good measure.
The major issue was they did almost every road we use to get to work each morning! I detoured through menstrie round the uni through BofA and down the motorway to avoid it. The problem was...
lol, yup.
i drove in and spotted your motor and instantly drove in next to you. the wife was cringing at me parking next to my "clio buddy" but there was no way on earth i was going to park it within 500 yards of the general population.
Thankfully no-one else bothered going near that...
i dread leaving cars in car parks. one of my work colleagues recently had a ding pulled out of his beemer, it looked like geoff capes had two-handed the door open. it was frickin massive. he is a car nut too and was mega pissed, as i would be if it happened to me.
its toddlers and small...
anyone going on this meet needing a brand new genuine cup splitter? I live in alloa and recently sold my 182, but still have the splitter. If anyone going on the run wants it pm me and i'll meet you there.
I'll do a good price on it too ;)
Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I wrote that post with very little real idea of how much the car is worth and I've done some more research at both ends of the spectrum. I agree the 8k 197’s are not desirable examples though. You live and learn J
Despite my wording above I don’t think I’m under...
Hi Folks,
Currently the proud owner of a 55 plate RB182 cup with 40K miles on it. Bought it n Feb 09 and have been quite happy with the car. However, after spending too long on here mooching at the newer shape cars i'd like to change sometime. Also weighing on my mind is the s/h market for...
towball carrier isn't possible because you can't fit a towball on a 182. Roofrack or carrying in the boot is the only way to go. I had a towball carrier on my 1.2 and it was magic, but no use on 182. Started putting bike in inside 182 but i got sick of the bike marking the interior so recently...
aye, and eventually the customer loses anyway as the small traders can't compete on those margins and pack up shop, taking other aspects of the business with them.
Happens a lot in the cycle trade with internet / mail order too - problem is the consumer invariably wants the best of both...
Yeah, My first impression when I did the map was that it felt like someone had lopped a big weight off the back of the car, throttle felt more urgent and much more ready to go. Wait till it's properly warm and it'll rev freely all the way to the limiter too. Definitely an improvement over standard!
step 1 only gives you the standard car performance, albeit on an updated software version. If you want the performance map (which is probably why you bought the tuner!) then you still need one of the cal files from step 2. The performance cal 8200_7804 (not overrun or pops and bangs map) removes...
hi,
You are on the right lines - sort of!
The cal files for the 182 are either the standard performance cal or the overrun cal (pops and bangs). Both cal files are listed here in the calibration performance section...
You mean the RSTuner? I think there is something on the site that refers to a stage1 map being included in the cost of a new tuner, but not sure if this harks back to the days when all the maps were free on the site. Its changed now so you just have to establish the correct map for the car...
All the rst and cal files are in this section fastchip site>shop>calibration download. Think you need to log into the site to purchase maps. Url below

i think they may have been jesting..
edit - nice thread btw - i'd love to have the time, money, space, tools and know how to do somethig like this. Dont know whats stopping me really..
