Thanks Mazz, lol the 182 cup wheels are the standard wheels from my car and the other set are genuine trophy Turin's which I have had for about 8-9 years now.
The 182 wheels currently on my car I only paid £150 for a few years back and all had brand new tyres so it made sense as my standard...
Time really does fly mate thats very true.
I love looking back through this thread myself. I will read from the start every now and then. Sometimes cringe at my old posts lol but as you say, thats what getting older does to you haha.
I admit I love still having it and knowing I have owned it...
Cheers mate, hope you’re keeping well.
Go for it mate they are brilliant. I had always wanted my spare alloys up on the wall but could never find anything on the internet available. They look cool while also serving a purpose as it leaves the floor area clear to utilise. Its a win win scenario...
Thanks Greeny, had it such a long time now and will never sell it.
Brackets were made for me by a family member. I did ask how much he would charge if he made some sets up to sell and he would be looking at £100 ish for time and materials. Obviously a lot of money for some brackets but if...
Pulled the clio back out again to give it a wash and clay. I ran the machine polisher over it but it needs a lot more time spent thoroughly to correct the paint properly.
Thanks mate, its a beauty indeed and loads of space. Looking forward to getting the machine polisher out in it.
Yes thats right, wheel slots on through one of the bolt holes and they were threaded so I can put a nut on the end for extra safety to make sure they don't slide off lol.
I got the clio out the garage today to clean the engine bay, door and boot shuts which have been on my list to do for a while as they were really dusty from some construction work in our old street. I also took the bonnet catch apart and fixed that as it had seized meaning the bonnet wouldn't...
thanks mate appreciate it.
Yes, been times up properly 3 times now, timing had slipped again the first time on the fuel pump so was done thinking it would fix it, and it was then when the fuel pump failed.
new block should solve it all, and i will keep injectors and pump as spares incase...
Its had 3 or 4 oil changes ovr the last year with me and has always ran amazingly, also it was only last serviced 2 days before it broke down again so the oil was fresh.
Thanks mate. Strange thing is it sounds like its knockng from the top end and not bottom. I dont have great knowledge of that tbh, but even Kris said it didnt sound like bottom end. Plus there was another lad with him working on it and he said the same.
bought one for £300. Has to be a specific 100 engine which is hard to find. Got it with injectors and fuel pump and its fully working with warranty and came from a 67k car.
hi mate, heres a massive update on this!
still in the garage now. Kris has been brilliant trying to get it sorted but we are at a loss with whats up with it.
had the injector 1 changed as it went faulty, thought this would solve it but it didn't.
Fuel pump at fault so replaced and still not...
Keep me right with this please. Car wont start without being jumped. Battery is reading 9volts but when started its reading 14.4 volts.
Am I correct to think the alternator is fine and its the battery thats dead?
Anyone any ideas what could have possibly caused this to happen from a clutch and slave cylinder replace? It was 100% perfect when it went in to the garage, doing at least 50 mile commute daily. When i picked it up, the engine sounded louder than normal and very tappy.
Kris is going to have a...
Broke down waiting for the RAC.
since getting home and using the car the engine sounded unbelievably noisier than it was before. Driving to work this morning and the sound was horrific. Very loud tappy and rattling noise while moving but goes away as soon as clutch is depressed.
Back on the road again thanks to Kris at Ren-Sport. First time I have met Kris and very grateful for his help getting the clio back on the road within a few days.
Ended up being a bit of a pain with subframe bolts seized on and damaged clutch line but Kris still got it sorted and back running...
Opened my thread to post and realise its been a whole year since I last updated this thread!
The 182 remains insured and taxed but not used daily. It went straight through the last MOT without any advisories on 21-09-2019 with 89318 miles on the clock. Since then it has only covered around 100...
