Also, will I need to reset the ECU, it seems down on power / breathless over 4k revs compared to my old 172 with double the miles

My 172 has a cone filter fitted by it's previous owner, obviously loosing the top half of the airbox. Would there be a benefit fitting a standard airbox ?? and if so - can anyone please recommend where I could find one for sale / offer me one. I'm in Birmingham. Thanks

Hi, My 2002 Ph2 172 with climate control, constantly makes a whirring noise (sounds like a fan) whenever the key is ignition. The noise seems to come from near the roof mounted map reading lights. Does anyone know what it is ? Thanks
