Having totalled my mothers phase 3 in a similar fashion 3 mnths after passing my driving test il second Renaults structural integrity in all the clios.
8 times over though is definately an acheivement, glad u all go out with nothing more than cuts and bruises.
I think the electrics options sound closer to home, will have to get the meter across the battery. Will be changing plugs when I do the service and will look at the distributer and leads at the same time.
Cheers for all the help

A mate politely requested to see a calibration cert. for a hand held radar gun - plod couldnt produce one and so it went no further. Not sure if it will apply with the gatso but got to be worth a try!
Good Luck

Yep mine went as well last winter - apparantly there is no drain on the roof gutter (if you look in from the top u should see a load of water sitting in the gutter). When you go round the corner it all spills over the gutter onto the convieniently waterproofed back of the roof liner and then...

Yes if you drop the cage and remove the wheel you can unhook the back end of the cage. its a bit of a fiddle but easily done - particularly if you can put the car on a ramp or you have a pit
I know as within 24 hrs of getting my clio I sheared the retaining bolt and had to take the cage of so...
Yes definately the way to find out how to pull everything apart! and of course putting it back is just a matter of following the instructions in reverse!

I picked up a phase 1 RT dash for £20 last summer from a scrappy near Farnborough to replace my fuel gauge in my RT. Getting the dash out and the new one in is realatively straight forward if youve got a long magnetic crew driver thingy! Connecting it up could be a challenge - wouldnt know if...
cat171 where did you get your switches from for a fiver - surely not a main dealer?
have had this problem for about 8 months now - seemed to arrive just after i fixed the sunroof leak - so the theory about them corroding due to water from the window / roof seems about right
Cheers

They look great
but how much of a state were they in before?
and how long did take to get them done?
only ask as I removed a chunk from my rim on a granite curb the other week taking evasive action from a member of the "I dont know how wide my car is so il use your road too club" -...

My local dealer wants £38 per bearing for my 93L 1.4RT - guess they might be different but otherwise u is being had!
R u planning on changing them yourselve?
I need to change mine desperately - too much roundabout abuse - and am going to take of the hub and then get my local dealer to fit...
