Well the Rainsports where fitted end of last month, seem to be very good.
This week it passed the 100000 mile mark
So it really was time for a oil change, oredered some bits from Opie and did it myself. I'll do the air, cabin and fuel filter next
Finally gave the car a good clean over easter weekend, full wash, clay, polish and wax.
A couple of pics
Its due a service so i think i will either be doing it myself or take it to Rentech next month.
I've also ordered two Rainsports so i'll get these fitted at the weekend i expect
Only a little baby update (Rather pointless one)
I hated the standard sidelights and indicators so i've replaced the front and rear bulds with silver ones and the sidelights for LEDs. I also changed the side repeaters to clear ones.
That is all.
Next up is a service and some front tyres!
Not last friday but the one before i saw a White 200 cup with the plate X200 Cup on the A419
Seen a Standard looking 172 Cup heading the other way. Both around 8.20 in the morning.
Also seen a Black 172/182 heading out of Cirencester towards the dual carriageway, about 8.30 in the morning...
Well standard air box is back. SeatS are back to standard. Decided that although I want to track it I don't get to use it with the buckets etc. I dove all of 100 miles with them in lol.
Anyways last week the rear bearings gave up :(. This called for new rear discs, bearings and pads. Next up I...
My glove box just won't close properly, it looks like this?
This means that the light in the box flickers and annoys the hell out of me. Anyone had this? It doesn't have anything blocking it, the hindges don't seem to catch. Im starting to think I may need to replace the door?
Lol at leaving a note. We have people do this all year round at my mums house for her Van and Caravan and i don't think shes ever call one even when she did sell her old caravan in the end. Bang on the door and speak to them if your really interested, never know what they'll say.
Just seen you sat in the traffic coming from the Marlborough direction on to the M4 roundabout. Looked nice, white wheels. Traffic was a joke this morning!
Don't go to CPL, they've had alot of unhappy customers (obviously maybe happy but still). Personally if its a Type R i would use TGM Sport in Fleet or TDI North. Both have very good reputation and all work on my DC5 was done by either. TDI North are the best for Kpro in the country by many...
Gave it a clean last weekend. Checked the fluids took a couple of snaps and went out on a drive. Needs a proper wash/clay/polish/wax so i will try to do that over Christmas
Mans fuel economy
My 106 Rallye was a money pit. Bought it for £2800, spent 3k on it and sold it about 9-10 months later for £2750!
Last two i've gained on though. DC5 paid £8100 for it. Spend £500 on it sold it for £7500 and made about a grand/grand and a half selling the exhaust, wheels and some other bits! My...
