Hello,
my mate slammed the passenger belt buckle in the door yesterday and broke the switch that tells you if the door is closed or not. I think this is the one...
One I all ways use is "so... what is the lowest you will take for this?" being a dealer he'll probably know this one but 9/10 the seller will reveal the lowest they will take. Simple but effective.
Also take your cash in a bundle and keep £200 to one side and just that this is all I've got...
Insurance companies will only used trusted mechanics and sprayers and their work is usually guaranteed for 3-7 years on body work etc. Call your insurance company and explain, they will get it resprayed.
Sorry, i mean a blue end, like this:

These are the later ones for the 172 as the originals are faulty and no good apparently.
Dunno if...
I guess so. Took the weight off the mounts using a jack under the engine. Did the one under battery first, then the one on the left. Once both in, tightened.....

It's not knocking, it's creaking. I get it when pulling off and driving at slow speeds. If lift the clutch in first gear and let the car drive its self and tap the throttle, it clicks and creaks . As I said before, i've changed 3 mounts. The only one I haven't changed it the "lower gear box" has...
So let me get this right. I've changed 3 mounts one at the top on the left, one under the battery and the dog bone twisty one. This is all the engine mounts correct? How much are top mounts by the way?
The nut would not budge. I had to get the angle grinder on it to get it off. The worn mount would just twist with the socket. Luckily got another bold that fitted so eventually sorted it. Any way after 4 hours work I still have this clicking/creaking sound when the engine engages/disengages...
I've just bought upper engine and upper gearbox mount. I've got the battery out of my 172 cup and I've got the engine supported but the nut won't come off. Is there a nack to this? or some good tips any one can suggest. My compressed impact gun won't get it off and I cant think of how else to do...
I got a Janspeed decat and it has the holes to accommodate both lambda sensors on my 172 cup. It took about 500 miles and the engine warning light came on. I'm going to remove the rear one and strap it to the car and tape the hole up. Will my light now turn off? Or will it require a code reader...
