Starting problem

Hi I've got a 1.6 16v k4m Clio! Can anyone help or shed some light as to why I keep having to clean the crank sensor to cure the problem? The sensor and multi plug have been replaced with genuine parts! When it doesn't start I still have to clean it to get it to start! Or is it just a Renault thing??

These are the later ones for the 172 as the originals are faulty and no good apparently.

Dunno if it's the same for yours though

It looks just like that but hasn't got the blue bit on end! It's got the little silver bit on the end wich is open to everything!!

I've just found out I have actually got that!! Haha! So wot should I do??
