inlet air leaks are easy to find and normally cause running problems. Just a shot in the dark but is it definatly coming from the engine? Bad stereo or amp earths or interference transmits the engine sound through the speakers.

i strongly recommend it. Surely youve been over the snake? I see a lot of car clubs about up around there. Mainly saxos and 106's but iv seen a few clios.
