It'll be good to compare results on the day... how they compare to other rollers as well as the variation between all the cars - same rollers, same day etc.
I know they're never an accurate measure, but was higher than I expected... The operator was expecting 165, so can't be all bad!
I'm contemplating getting the GT cams before the CS meet there, so hopeful it'll be a fairly realistic comparison! Just trying to sort out mapping on Saturday 09...
They're not Turinis, they're RSpecs... And the mounts are terrible, dogbone has been uprated and, as said, replacing the others very soon!
any thoughts on the results?!
I went there today to get a base run... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?684993-Rolling-road-result-Tipton-Garage-174bhp&p=9360620#post9360620
He is a genuinely nice guy, looking forward to going back there to hopefully see some decent gains!
Ran my car at Tipton Garage today, in order to get a base run before the Cliosport.net day there in a few weeks.
Its a MAHA LPS 3000 PKW, which apparently produces figures that aren't comparabe to Dyno Dynamics etc (the ATW figure isn't the same and the calculated loss is higher, due to the...
Thanks for the offer Aaron182, but it looks like there will be a couple of people heading that way (it would be a fair but longer going via Plymouth).
It'd be good if I could meet you, Oli., and the other Cornwall guys on the way though... Timings will have to be sorted, like you said.
Still...
Damn straight... No harm in checking though! I'm looking forward to this, it'll be my first RR day and my first CS meet. It might sound a bit odd, but I can't decide if I want decent figures or not... If it's a duff one I can forget about further mods and just enjoy it for what it is, but if...
Cheers, and yeah it does... shame it hasn't stayed that clean though! I'm looking forward to the weather picking up and having another crack at it... no missing bits next time!
Not sure about your 'filling technique', but I tend to put the nozzle in without having to touch much else...!
Like I said, it was a trial run lad... I'll do a decent clean next time! You could always run a tutorial... You've got the required OCD!
It wasn't as bad as I thought... Admittedly, it was more of a trial run testing the products, and my resolve! Didn't even open the petrol flap!
Fair point about clio media though, I'm sure a mod will move it if needs be!
Yeah, I was quite impressed... although now I've noticed a lot more scratches and chips which I might have to sort out! Never noticed them before, should have kept it a bit dirtier!
Finally had decent enough weather to try out the products I bought at Christmas: Auto Finesse's Lather; Clay & Glide; Tripple; and Tough Coat.
It's the first time I've cleaned the car properly, it's usually a manual car wash job...
All the products were easy to use, although it took longer...
I'm not that handy with the spanner, unfortunately!
Do you know of anyone who has gone from the GTs to 438s on the same car, with a before and after printout (extremely hopeful, I know!)?
For me, it's hard to compare the various gains without seeing graphs... I wouldn't be choosing the GT cams...
I'm not chasing peak figures, I'd prefer more mid gains to peak which is why I'm interested in these as opposed to 438s... I take it I'm right in thinking that?!
Thanks for the figures though
I treated mine with G5 yesterday, and had no issues buffing off etc... Only had light rain this morning, but definitely seems like a good product. Bar one sweep when setting off there was no need for wipers... half looking forward to some heavier rain now!
Added some courtesy lights... not at all 'OTT', and looks fairly OEM... Wired to the central locking/doors and a permanent on/off (not on whilst driving, unless looking for something!):
The switch light is only on when the lights are on, and adjusts with the dash (although opposite to the dash?!)
Exhaust is definitely a lot better... both aesthetically, and on the ears!
I'm surprised so many people are liking the wheels, especially as they're Rotas and not Turinis!
