Maybe a rat crawled up your exhaust m8 lol, wouldnt worry bout it as long as it stays at normal temperature, check make sure theres no wires or anything touching the engine/manifold, and the fans hooked straight up to the battery and only turns off when the temp switch cools down.

I had the same problem, took the whole sunroof out cleaned it all up, put a beading of sealant around it, whacked it back in, and the f***er still gives me wet boxer shorts when it rains, im pretty sure its the inner seal thats the problem, just havnt got round to it yet lol mines electric though
